A VERY NICE PRODUCT I've been using this since 2months noe and i am glad i bought this think is tank and yeah in the starting it took some time to learn about softwares and styff but now i am glad i bought this go for it nothing like this one in this price

Perfect as a keyboard but automap doesn't work with all DAWS
One of the best midi keyboards I've used till now. Only negative I found is that the automap don't work with studio one and it keeps on crashing on installing it, eventhough automap claims studione support. Other than than its perfect

The Perfect MIDI Controller for the Producer and Performer
The Novation Impulse is just a great MIDI Controller. I have been using this both for music production as well as for live performance in conjunction with Ableton Live for more than half a year now and it has served me well. The integration with the DAW has been really efficient and Novation's proprietary software, Automap, always ensures that my controller is always up to date. The wizard helped me get started almost instantly with my DAW. Other helpful features include the sustain and expression pedal ports on the back, the pitch bend and mod wheel and what I found most fascinating, the Aftertouch capability on the keyboard, which allowed for great expression and flexibility while playing live, not to mention the 8 endless encoders that would automatically map to the macros on any Instrument Rack. I was even able to assign the drum pads down a separate MIDI channel and use that in conjuction with the keyboard to trigger samples. For loops and tracks, the Clip Launch mode with Session View in Ableton has really helped speed up my workflow and get ideas down quickly and efficiently. The USB cable provided with the keyboard is nice and long so I can keep my laptop on either side of the controller without having to worry about any cable snags. Definitely love my Novation Impulse and see no need to go in for anything else.
