My go to G-pen

Excellent pen
This pen is excellent! I have some calligraphy nibs that are too small for my regular pen so I use this one when needed.

Bit lighter but overall balance is nice
Decent enough, the section is really close to the nib itself, careful not to dip too far into the inkwell to avoid ink seeping into the area below the section. Weight is slightly lesser than model 40, so does its overall dimension. Has the same nib holding mold so I will go ahead and assume the same durability, which is alright as long as you don't treat your maru nib with violence, since the center cylindrical piece has snapped for me before (after a year of usage on model 40). Lighter and more forward grip of model 36 is quite suitable for G nib as it allows more careful control of pressure applied. Note: It seems like it will fit traditional calligraphy nib but it won't, you can put the nib in but it will be quite loose, with the exception of some speedball nibs.

For years I had a set of speedball brand nibs and holders and honestly didnt like using them because my hand would hurt after a while. When I saw this I hesitated because I didnt want to invest in a supply I rarely used, but I'm so glad I did! The thick barrel and cushion grip are amazing and wonderful and I love how it can fit both standard and crow quill or maru nibs! I've used this with many pieces now and honestly can just sit and draw with my wrist and hand not straining! I wish I bought this sooner and will definitely stick up on a couple more soon!!

Great grip. Easy to push the nibs in and pull them out again. Light weight.Overall a great purchase.

Does the job!
Comfortable for me to hold and holds my G-pen nibs firmly and perfectly. It's my first pen holder but I'm glad I chose it. Seems like it'll do me good.I did get some ink on the silicone, not sure how to wash it out, so be wary if you're a new dip pen user like me and not very coordinated.
