Ok this is great for couch and recliner, but do i have to worry about furniture... entertainment center, end tables and such

YES. I’m sorry but you have to worry about everything, literally. We live in Texas and followed an Entomologists suggestions. We bagged everything clothes, toys, furniture (yes our couch before we used this cover) in clear 50 gallon trash bags (Home Depot) and put them in our backyard, sealed securely with duct tape and no holes in the bags, to bake in 95-100 degree temperatures for weeks. You could see the dead bugs. We threw away a lot of things if we couldn’t bag it. They were even in a wooden computer desk. We also used double sided sticky tape, like carpet tape, and taped the bottoms and tops of the baseboards so they couldn’t crawl up the walls. We don’t have carpet and we threw out all our rugs. We only brought in the necessities after a few weeks and left the rest in the garage for months in the heat. I’m highly allergic and we still had a few problems but they were mostly gone and eventually were gone. If you’ve read this far you know we were serious and although this may sound crazy, we 4 of us, believe it with every inch of our being. We had a dog then and we started her on Nextguard near the end of our bedbug fight. We believe what bugs were left were finished off by the Nextguard. If you research the topic there is other anecdotal evidence out there about bedbugs and Nextguard. We used diatomaceous earth, food grade, too. If you call an exterminator they will tell you that you have to remove everything anyway, they have to treat twice, 4-8,000 dollars with no guarantee. Best of luck.

Can you sit on the couch

Yes you can. Just be mindful, it’s all white, spills and regular activity will cause it to get dirty. You can of course take it off to wash, but lifting a couch is a pain for me

i have the sofa encasement for $124 but need instructions where are the instructions to put it on the sofa??

It has the zipper. You have to cover the whole sofa and then zipper it up.

I'm afraid if I take the cover off to wash it, the bed bugs will spread. How do I keep the cover clean during those 18 months?

I wouldn't remove the cover. find something to place over the sofa for the 18 month period (blanket or sofa cover). Once the situation has been dealt with you can remove, wash and put it back on if you feel it's necessary.
