Nice and great warranty
Works well, handy, easy to use. Mine stoped turn on two years in but the company replaced it under warranty with no questions asked.

Walkie Talkies! Great for communication!
Love these for the farm life! Phones might not always have a signal, so these are great for communication with someone out in the fields!

Decent Radio For The Weekend Warrior.
Overall this is a decent radio. I bought this VHF to wear on my PFD when kayak fishing larger lakes/coastal waters and to stay in contact with buddies during river float trips. It's held up great so far. Just make sure you clean off the salt spray after use like you should be doing with all of your gear! The battery life is great. I always scan several channels and usually transmit on the lowest power setting. After two full days of use the battery indicator just dropped two bars. I've not purposely dunked it in the water to test the waterproof claims but i'm sure it'll be OK. Everything seems to be sealed up tightly. My only complaint about this unit is the fact that it can only be charged with the supplied charging cradle. It would be nice if it featured a USB-B or C port to allow charging from a portable power bank during multi day outings. Overall I think this radio is a great value. It offers a ton of features and is lightweight and compact. For the weekend user It fits the bill nicely and the price-point is great. Having said that, If I was relying on a handheld radio daily I would probably go ahead and spend the money on a higher end Icom or Standard Horizon because of their reputation for reliability and durability.

Very Happy With Product. Arrived Quickly.
Cobra MRHH500FLTBT Marine Handheld radio--- Very nice radio, clear sound. Bluetooth option works well with our Samsung Cell phone. (Allows the radio to answer calls with cell phone stored in water proof safe place on Kayak, or Boat. Note: Access to the phone is needed to initiate a call, but communication can proceed with the radio when call is answered to keep the phone in a safe place while moving about the boat.) Weather radio function has scanning feature so weather info is quickly received from nearest station. Normally we monitor marine channel 16 in case of emergency calls, or serious problems while underway. A single button can toggle between channel 16 and 9 as desired. Other channels can be used as needed. Also has a scan feature to listen to all channels for any communications in progress. It floats too! Have not performed any range tests on our large lake with multiple coves at this time.

Quality Marine Radio
I did a lot of research on marine radios and based on features and reviews decided on this one. The radio comes with everything you need to get up and running including a good user's manual, a quality charger, belt clip, and lanyard. I mounted the charger in our boat with the supplied screws and the included 12v cord. I used the radio to monitor channel 16 and the weather alert channels for several days out on the lake. I heard some radio chatter and also received a few weather alerts while monitoring channel 16. The weather alert feature is loud and works well. I have had brief conversations with other boaters and have found the range to be acceptable. After four full days of boating on a single charge the battery indicator still read full. It is easy to use and feels like a quality product. Note, though, that this radio does not have the GPS/Bluetooth modules with the DSC/MMSI functionality for broadcasting emergency messages to the USCG. If you boat on large lakes or offshore, the upgrade to Cobra's MR HH600 FLT GPS BT model is worth it. Recommended for leisure boaters on small bodies of water to have in case of emergency.

So far so good
I've only had it a few weeks and used it a couple of times along the Oregon Coast in my kayak, but so far it seems to work well. I was able to hear some offshore conversations from a bay as well as the marine weather report loud and clear. Haven't had a conversation yet. I bought it mainly for a safety measure rather than something I plan to actively engage with others.

Be cautious buying this radio--It isn't waterproof as stated by IPX7 ratings.
If you buy this product you have a 10.3% chance of getting a bad unit, look at the reviews! I bought a Cobra Marine HH350 in March 2025. I keep it in my backpack as an emergency since I am a sailing instructor. I removed it to call another boat and the radio got splashed, not submerged, never went under water, only splashed with water for less than a minute while on the floor of the cockpit. The screen now has water in it and the speaker is garbled (this cleared up) I would think a radio advertised as submersible, IPX7 rating, might be somewhat water resistent. I wrote Cobra and will see what they reply with. More to the story. Cobra got back to me stating essencially that water cannot get intoo the unit by being splashed with water. The say, Quote "IPx7 has no provision for vapor, which along with temperature change is what causes condensation. Even if not condensation as it appeared to be, a splash of water may still easily enter the unit if it is not properly sealed (meaning battery compartment is not secured, or any inserts guarding microphone/earphone or charging ports are not inserted properly.)" " IPX7 waterproof rating, indicating a device’s ability to withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes." Question. How did the "water vapor", which is water, get in the unit to condense? Their answer; it's your fault. So, if you want a water proof marine product; this is not the unit or company to buy from. Sadly, I really did like everything else about the radio.

Ottimo prodotto, tutte le funzionalità per la sicurezza in mare. Purtroppo il costo e la tempistica di spedizione sono stati elevati rispetto a quanto si può trovare in giro
