I ordered these to add lighting to a custom organizer I had built. Not disappointed. Nice and bright and easy to attach, with the adhesive backing. Not sure how well they would handle outside use, but they seem pretty durable overall and the quality of light is what I was expecting. Good value!

So I ordered one for a sample it came in and looked like exactly what I needed so I ordered 9 more They took forever to arrive it was like they held it for a week before shipping it out But when I get to the job I realize they changed the strip recently and I now have 5 spools at 10w per meeter and 5 spools at 13w per spool so now I couldn’t finish the jobs because I need 75 more watts of power For the 5 strips that need more power But the 13w strips are not even as bright as the 10w strips But the biggest kicker was now they have wires coming out of both ends WTF and they say they are IP68 but that’s false they have an airgap between the LEDs and the silicon And that air gap will collect condensation in certain situations and now both ends have steal wires coming out that’s a pass through for moisture

Unfortunately, we did not anticipate the cost of hiring an electrician to hard-wire these strips into an outdoor power source. We will do it eventually, but the cost surprised us making this product questionable on quality to value ratio. If you’re a handy DIY electrician, you’ve probably found your perfect year around outdoor lighting product but for the rest of us….it is a few hundred dollars per strip to install (at the very least).

First off, this is an excellent LED light strip, for the following reasons: - Excellent diffused light, without visible dots - Color rendering index (CRI/Ra) > 90, meaning that the light accurately renders colors - Dims very nicely down to almost off, while maintaining its pleasant light quality - Very pleasant light quality, not harsh, even at full brightness - Water proof, as long as you don’t cut it, or if you do, properly re-seal the cut end Second, and most important to me- can you re-use the cut end? If you have basic soldering skills, the answer is yes. Without the waterproof silicone housing, it is just like any other COB strip, with solder pads for the power wires- see photo. So if you need 4ft sections, it’s possible to get four of them out this 16.4ft strip. Just attach the wires and finish off with shrink tubing. If you need it to be waterproof, dab on some polyurethane glue such as Seam Grip WP. Bottom line: if you don’t care about the quality of the light and just need something bright, go elsewhere. But if you care about how the light feels and how it renders colors accurately, get this one. Excellent LED light strip, recommended.

Nice bright uniform light throughout the length of the LED strip. It did not run hot over the length of the strip or the end with the power feed, which is always a good sign. However, the photos and description now appear to be inconsistent with the product I received. Therefore would not recommend.
