Great for making paper clay
I am a clay sculptor. For awhile my pieces were cracking in the bisque fire. I was very frustrated until two clay artists told me about paper clay. It makes the clay stronger. OK you can make paper clay with toilet paper all torn up...and newspaper...and paper towels...and used paper from the computer OR you can use this paper-mache. Much faster, less work and you don't need much for 25 lbs of wet clay. Love it!

Saved my life- Kid Science project was due in 3 days!
I’ve bought a few thousand things on amazon- this is my first review Bc it saved me! Science fair project is due in 3 days.. we sculpted and made volcano in like 40 minutes, it dried overnight and today we painted it and it was amazing and easy!! Just a little dusty so wet the product with a spray bottle! AMAZING STUff , we just added warm water till it made a clumpy goo and then molded it around some objects! So easy.

Gets the job done.
Great product, but I prefer the white to the grey mixture. I ordered based on price this time... the grey was cheaper by $7. I'm about half way through the bag and still haven't quite found my groove with it. The grey seems more sticky and yet slippery at the same time.... the white is just different... I can't quite put my finger on what it is but it's a little different to work with. I've tried varying the water amounts and mixing techniques. I'm not sure I'd buy the grey again but then again, maybe I would! I have a few weeks and half a bag to get through yet. 🤔 End product is very hard once dried.

Not your Grandparents Paper mache
I needed to do some fine detail work for a mask, and opted to use this instead of regular paper mache to help with finer details than large strip of paper might allow. I was pleasantly surprised that when mixed thoroughly with water this produced a thick and slightly lumpy material more like clay/cement than paper mache. It took some getting used to working with (If working by hand keep your hands wet so it does not stick to you) but the results are great. It does sand well, and is much stronger than I thought it would be. PROS: Easy to manipulate and smooth Easier than tearing up lots of newspapers Hardens to a very strong but inflexible material Sands well and easily Long working time CONS: Very dusty, especially when mixing (mist w/ spray bottle during mixing helps alot) Must be thoroughly mixed before use A bit hard to do "thin" coats Can crack as it dries (easily fixed w/ second coat to fill in crack though)

Worked great
It took a while to dry, but it turned out great.

Fun but messy craft
Ok so it's definitely messy and takes a little trial and error to get it the right consistency to work with. I personally found if I mixed it and kept it In a plastic bag for a bit it was easier to mold. I used it to coat a plastic pumpkin . It dries very hard and can be fragile so definitely be sure if you add on that it is really pushed into the item you're using it on. When my item was drying I put it on its backside so the face could dry all the way which can take a day or so

Good product. Kinda pricey.
First time using this product. I've seen ways to make clay, but didn't have the time. So I opted for this product. Its lumpier than I expected, but as time went on I could use just a tiny bit of water to smooth it out. I used it for my scarecrow's head this year for Halloween. I thought the material would be light enough, but eventually we had to sit it down because of the weight in the wind. It does add great texture to the pumpkin head, so that worked in my favor. I was able to build up from my paper mache structure, to add depth to the eyes and mouth. As well as the stem and viens running down from the stem. Im sure once I start using it more, I'll understand the water to paper ratio better. I followed instructions but didn't get the consistency expected. There is a lot left.

Messy, but better the newspaper flour and water
I had previously purchased this and had to give a poor rating due to the fact the plastic the paper mache came in was open when it arrived and to say I had a big mess was an understatement. Well, my grandson wanted to to paper mache and I figured I will give this product another try. The packaging was flawless and the product works well. It is whole lot messier then the old standby of strips of newspaper with flour and water, but it sure is a heck of alot easier to deal with
