Hidden Treasures to the Biblical Text is packed with the finest Gold!!!
Chuck Missler has the ability to astound a reader who is truly interested in searching out the truth! "Hidden Treasures in the Biblical Text" is a short, but thoroughly absorbing walk through a small number of fascinating observations that the author has made in his more than 50 years of Biblical study. For the person who is interested in the Bible, but concerned about getting lost in the some high level treatise on textural criticism, they need not worry one bit. The different segments are digestable and also written in a manner that they will find thoroughly engaging. For example, in one part Missler delves into a rather fascinating discussion of the Virgin Birth, taking the reader into each of the genealogies of both the Gospel according to St. Matthew and the Gospel according to St. Luke. This is discussed with respect to the Blood Curse pronounced on the line of Jeconiah (see Jeremiah 22:30) where the LORD cursed the lineage of Davidic Rule that might proceed from Jeconiah. The problem is that the Messiah had to come from the lineage of David!!! The only solution will be the subtle Law given to the Israelites through Moses with regard to the situation of inheritance faced by the daughters of Zelophehad. I have NEVER seen ANYONE ever bring these facts into allignment with the NECESSITY for a virgin birth. Missler points out that Jesus Christ's claim hangs on this Law!!! For the reader who is of Jewish background, like myself, it does pose an interesting point that I've never heard considered with regard to the Messiah and his ancestral lineage. It will certainly bring one's analysis of Jesus Christ and His Ministry into serious focus with regard to the Tanakh, which is really how the question of his Messianic Claim should be evaluated in the first place. Highly valuable and recommended!!!

Short read of some cool info
This is a very brief book of some hidden information in the Bible mostly as it relates to Hebrew meaning and letters. There is certainly a good bit of amazing things to see. I am one that seems to be hesitant to believe the "code" when it comes to certain things and do think some may be "coincidence" however the ones mentioned in this book seem purposefully done especially the ones that are contained within the Torah he mentions. Very short book but mostly really cool stuff. The story of Abraham and Isaac has always had associations with the crucifixion, but he points out things I had never really thought about and seeing how perfectly the story aligns with Jesus is one of the most compelling prophetic stories in the Bible. Especially how many people don't catch that it says "Abraham" returned to the young men, instead of "Abraham and Isaac" returned. Where is Isaac??? Then the next time we see Isaac he is being united with his bride. What is "amazing" in every sense of the word is this is from the Torah, before Israel or Jews are even a thing and we have this story that has so many correlations to Jesus, and there is zero reason other than to being a foreshadow of Jesus being united with his bride for the story to play out that way. There is no explanation for Isaac not returning with Abraham, and if he did return why is he not included.

super little resource book
Chuck Missler was an amazing repository of knowledge regarding the bible and this book reflects that. Don't expect this to be a breezy read though. there are collegiate level theories and explanations in this text. That said it is an awesome source of further enlightenment.

Interesting but can be frustrating
Full of wonderful hidden treasures, but sometimes I wish there are better explinations of where the information comes from in the scriptures being studied. For instance, when looking at the number breakdown of the years the angel Gabriel gives Daniel, it is hard to follow where there author gets all of his numbers from in his equation. I wanted so badly to understand this part, but couldn't figure out where all of the numbers came from, since they were not stated in the scripture. Some of these things that are obvious to the author are not to those of us who have not studied these things for a lifetime, so it can be very frustrating because it is hard to follow the author when he doesn't explain and break these things down.

Excellent info, in every format.
Chuck Missler is as rock solid a steering rudder as any Christian would want. For folks whose careers or personal interests include deeply researching their topics, the saturative coverage in this work, like all Mr. Missler's study materials, will always satisfy. And, rubbing elbows in faith and technical data is a signature Missler method always leaving students wanting to keep on studying. While in-depth study can sometimes weary a student of the Bible, Hidden Treasures is another great never-dry library addition to "Berean's" who appreciate Chuck Missler's extraordinary CV and productivity as an ambassador of Christ toward His Bride. For newcomers or those just curious about Christian faith, this is a great immersion that quickly feeds and fuels at every interest level. Treasures
Good book, but I think a lot of it was way over my head. It still will inspire one to research more. They need a 4 and 3/4 star...
