Holding the tiny lens with tweezers, carefully wipe away the oils etc from the lense using a soft cotton pad and acetone. Note both sides of the lens because there are differences that will affect how it fits into the brass piece. I'm not sure which side is best fitting, so there's some trials that you need to do. Maybe pick the side with the biggest flange to rest the spring against. Put lense into its holder and drop in the spring then screw the assembly together with your laser diode and see if you can get it to culminate. If not try it the other way around. The real issue is whether or not the coating on the lens is damaged beyond its usefulness. Watch the beam on something like cardboard at some distance away as you adjust the focus and when it's out of focus, you can get a good look at how the lens is refracting and all the issues that it may have after being processed by your kid.

This is amazing

I installed on my Ortur LM2 and now I can cut through 3mm birth ply I 3 passes where before it would take 10 passes with G8 lens.I love it!

Not what I expected.

The threads are not tight so there is a lot of play. Easy fix with plumbers tape. But I have tried everything possible to focus this lens and can’t get it sharp enough for clean cuts. The stock lens with my diode is far superior then this one. I have tried various focal lengths and even took it apart and tried every variation assuming maybe a lens was in wrong. But nothing can get this to focus.
