Absolutely buy this if you upgrade your bumper
Simple. Easy to install. Looks a hk of a lot better than the wire ties I used to hold my license plate

Thankfully Im a pretty good welder
If you have a new Smitty Built WRC winch, THIS ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT FIT! I bought the Smittybilt 97495 XRC Winch - 9500 lb. Last week, then ordered this based on another review that said it fit. It does NOT! I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that it is a decent made item that does what it says. Thankfully Im a pretty good welder, so I made this work. As it comes, the holes are 3/4 of an inch wider than the smittybuilt fairlead pins. The only way to make this fit is to cut the tabs off, weld new tabs, and drill new holes.

Works with Hawse Fairlead if you buy one more part
This worked perfect. I mounted this to a Hawse fairlead using a Smittybilt 2814 Light Mount Bracket for Aluminum Hawse Fairlead. Allows me to use my synthetic winch (Quadratec) with this product. Nearly a perfect fit. It even came with the hardware to mount the plate to the holder. I felt that the bolts were a little long, so I installed them backwards (nut facing forward). This is designed to use the bolts on the rollers so if you mount it to a Hawse , you will have to supply your own bolts. The holes didn't line up perfectly (off 1/4" or so) but with the size bolts I used, it didn't matter anyway. No modifications needed!

Mostly works
It performs it's job well, the plate stays where you put it. However, the axles on my fairlead didn't have enough play to be able to put the holder on AND keep the snap rings on top and bottom. I haven't used the wince since I put this on to see if the rollers will "walk" because there is no snap ring on the bottom

Works for me
I bought this to use on my Smittybilt fairlead. Texas requires plates on the front and the custom bumper doesn't have a place to mount the plates. The holes on the bracket are about a 1/2" closer than the pins for the rollers on the fairlead. I took my Dremel and ground out the inner edges of the holes to allow for the pins to fit. It works. I ended up reversing the bracket and connecting it on the bottom of the fairlead so that the winch is not covered up. It's more secure than the clip on bracket made by Smittybilt and cheaper too.

Works great with a Warn M8000 and Daystar Winch Isolator
Nice product, simple install. Installed one on my Warn M8000 with a Daystar Winch Isolator, no issues they work great together. The only reason this is getting 4 stars vs 5 is the bolts that it came with to attach the license plate were too long. This prevented it from flipping up properly but its a simple fix, cut the bolts down so they are just longer then the nut.

fit issues
If you have pins and snap rings it won't fit. I just went and bought some grade 8 bolts 6" and then it worked great. I prefer this style that is bolted on. I think I paid more for the hardware than product

it is working great, and fit was perfect for our winch
They provided bolts to hold the license plate on as well, but they were too long and scratched the top piece the first time I flipped it up. Other than that, it is working great, and fit was perfect for our winch.
