This is so easy to hook up and unhook. The initial set up was a little bit of challenge, but the instructions were clear. I love the adjustable washer for how much weight to distribute or keep on the tow vehicle. For someone with NO mechanical experience, this product was excellent. The adjustable sway control is easy to use and very functional. The bars are a little heavy, but not unreasonable, and very easy to take on and off. The adustable hitch makes it easy to get the right height for the vehicle. I really like that I don't have to unhook these to back into spots, and they are not noisy like other sway bars you hear pulling into campgrounds. They look nice and feel very secure. I have a smaller trailer at 3700lbs- my tow vehicle is rated for 10,000lbs. so with this on it rides absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Our old travel trailer had a previous version of this where the bars had to be lifted up into the hitch and then hung from the trailer by chains. The end of the bars had to be greased and it was a real pain to hook up the chains. In addition, the anti-sway feature was an add-on product.This model is a major improvement. The ends of the bars don't need to be greased so it's much easier because you don't have to worry about touching anything with the bar. The bars drop in from the top making them easy to install - my wife can do it. You have to lift the bar ends over the fitting mounted to the trailer frame and there's a tool for that, but we've only had to use it once. The tongue jack is able to raise the tongue enough that the bars just slip in place. As a bonus there's an anti-sway feature built into the hitch itself.Installation and adjustment were fairly straightforward and took less time than I anticipated. The hitch itself is rather heavy but manageable. I even take it off the car if we go anywhere while camping; the other one I just left on it was such a beast.I'm sure the 600 is an even better unit but this 300 meets our needs at a better price point. Highly recommended!

Tips for install:1. Purchase White lithium grease and lubricate the arm holes, the pins and the ball itself before install.2. Tighten down the sway control hex key head until it stops wiggling and then give it half a turn to one full turn more depending on your preference.first off this thing is pretty heavy duty, did not know that I needed to lubricate everything and it made installing and removing the arms so much easier!this thing was screaming his head off! Like something's getting murdered back there. I read a lot of reviews that said this is normal. NONSENSE!Lubricate your parts! If your sway control is completely loose then it'll SCREAM! creeeeeeeekkkkk squeeeaaallllll etc lol.Snug it down and the noise is gone.I had a 25 foot travel trailer, 29 feet end-to-end. This thing has a 60 gallon freshwater, 2x 40 gallon grey water and a 40-gallon Black water. Four seasons. Empty it says 6100 lbs and full probably around 7000 lbs. I towed it home from the dealership with just a normal ball and hitch. I do have 1000 lbs airbag assists in my ram 1500 EcoDiesel which helped but the sway control was non-existent and this thing would bounce up and down even with the littlest bump in the road for 100 - 200 ft it would seem.After installing the weight distribution hitch, gone! My vehicle drove just as smooth as when there was no trailer on the back. Seriously beyond impressed and beyond my expectations! I only drove 7 miles without the weight distribution hitch because I read how much of an advantage they had. I refuse to take me and my family out without first installing this. Yes we were a little later to depart but totally worth it and nobody disagreed. Do yourself a favor, at the time of purchase this thing was less than $300, absolutely worth its weight in gold. And this thing is pretty damn heavy!I was not paid or anything for this review, I spent my own money and I chose this product over the rest because I didn't feel like dealing with the chains and all that other crap he's nice. High quality components and superior performance. This weight distribution hitch does a great job with my 1/2 ton and 28' travel trailer. Extremely easy to install and the youtube install made it a no brainer. The sway control was also amazing but even better you can disengage it extremely easily.
