It will do a lot more than I expected.
This item seems to work fine. I don't know as to the accuracy of the temperature sensors. I did not test that although I have no reason to believe that there's any serious defect in that regard. I had to replace some of the batteries that came with the device because they were dead. I usually replace batteries that come with a device with a brand I trust anyway. Transmitter and receiver both have a fold-out stand to make the screen easier to view. Also appreciated is that the receiver is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket or maybe hang it off your belt or collar. The display is bright and backlit and easy to read, which is nice especially at night. The current temperature and setting is displayed for each probed item seems to update instantly. I first used this for single sensor low temp cheese smoking. I use pellets and a smoking tube that adds enough heat that the temp can get a bit high if not watched. The notification (alarm) is pretty loud and should be enough to alert you okay. It worked without a fault at about 40 ft from outside the house into my living room. Four probes might be a bit of overkill for many but I see no no problem using this for watching 1 or up to 4 different things at once. It comes with four probes and you can program each of the four probes individually. For instance you could set each probe to alarm you remotely when it comes to a certain temperature or a timed alarm for turning or basting a different item. The different temperatures and degree of doneness can be selected as preprogrammed by type of meat. You WILL need the instructions AND probably some magnification to read it. I eventually figured out what I needed for my failing eyes and just used my phone camera to take a picture and then enlarged it to read it. I suppose you could even print a quick setup cheat sheet that way. It came with a nice case, 4 color coded probes with fairly long cords to connect them to the transmitter and a meat injector for infusions and brining. Didn't cost very much for all that it does. Now all I need to do is load up my smoker and have a lot of fun.

Liked this product so much I bought one for my son.
Easy to use and accurate. I've used it in a grill, the oven, and even it a ninja all in one cooker. Takes a lot of the guess work out of steaks and roasts.

Improves my BBQing skills
I've used these a few times and they really hep getting meat medium well done without overcooking the meat. The magnetic mount on the transmitter is a nice touch. Works good getting the sending unit mounted away for the heat of the grill. The transmitter range works inside our house and the receiver can easily display current temp.

You can use more than one at the same time.
You can use two of these at the same time. Each receiver can be paired with its own transmitter.

Absolute "must-have" for grilles & smokers
A review from novice perspective: After reading hundreds of reviews on this and other products in efforts to make an educated decision, SO glad this was one we purchased!Tools: Probes are neatly organized, and the foam in the carrying case keeps everything tidy and safely separated. As the "cleaner-upper" after grilling adventures and the guardian of kitchen cleanliness, I appreciate that little case!Probe wires: A nice length for keeping the head unit away from the grill.Cleanup: I rinse the probes and first 12" of the wires just for a couple minutes and use the "OhMyClean" sponges and simply brush off the cooking residue. Easy! The injector is awesome, I hand wash this one after taking it apart. The plastic seems beefy enough you might be able to toss it in the dishwasher upside down, but please take the needle off and wash it by itself away from little hands.Probe Screens: As a novice, I was quite surprised at how easy this is to use for being so inexpensive. Once plugged in to the probes in use, it's simple to set alarms for different temperature targets so you can have different "doneness" preferences or different meats all done perfectly! The temps are extremely accurate! Due to work schedules, we grill very late, so the backlight on the screen is handy when we're outside in the dark. We've done smoked meatloaf, beer butt chickens, very expensive steaks, chicken breasts and more...all with results that put restaurants to shame! There is no food like grilled or smoked food, and no satisfaction like doing it yourself. Now, you can do it accurately and safely!UPDATE: 2 months later our freezer gets very weak, food thawing, me swearing, etc. When you need to test the temp in the fridge and freezer for a couple minutes...HELLO PROBES! It wouldn't register anything less than 32° but these were made for heat...not for cold appliance diagnostics, so I wouldn't suggest leaving them in the cold for more than a few minutes. However, in a pinch, these did the trick!

Which one is correct?
I haven't got to use these yet cause when I started my first smoke, I went to use these. First, they were not synced, so I used my old set for this one. I set down and read the instructions on how to sync these. So, I got them synced and hooked them up and so now who know which one is correct? Yes, it is only a few degrees but that can make a big difference. These are all sitting together on my dining room table so the temp should be the same.
