It looks great so far, and it was easy to put together with the instructions. It seems like it is a very sturdy, and hopefully it will last me for many years. The material appears to be of high quality, and it has withstood the rain well so far. The shade that it provides is the main reason that I purchased it for this Houston heat.

The pergola looks great. It is a great addition to our backyard, protecting us from the harsh sun of the high desert. It is fire proof which is very important in our area. The two independent louver sets work well and offer flexibility. When completely closed, they even protect us from the rain. We are in the process of mounting lights and misters to it for more features.The shipping was easy. The pergola came in five boxes that were easy to manage. Customer service is responsive and very effective.

Amazon contacted me to schedule a delivery day and time because a signature is required. This pergola was packed extremely well. The manufacturer also contacted me several times through Amazon and once by phone to ensure that I had recieved the pergola, the lounge chair, and that I had contact a number and an email address for support should I need it. I should also mention that the lounge chair was free through a promotion at the time.Assembly wasn't too bad and I have a few tips. The instructions say not to tighten the bolts until fully assembled. This is not possible because there are bolts inside the corner posts which will be inaccessible when fully assembled. I also suggest starting those bolts first because they are harder to line up. I decided to tighten the bolts inside the corner posts, and the top bolts on all the cross bars, before I put the top covers/louvers on the ends of each side. You'll have a really hard time getting tools on those bolts if you dont. Other than that assembly was pretty easy.Not sure how often this happens, but I did have one weld snap while bolting one of the last pieces on. I fixed this with a 3/4" angle bracket (lines up perfectly), a self tapping metal screw, and an M6 1.0mm flange nut. You'll need to enlarge the hole on the side of the bracket the bolt goes through. I used a 15/64 drill bit. I'm sure Purple Leaf would have sent a replacement piece, but that would have required quite a bit of disassembly and it's not really in a noticeable location.Overall, we are extremely happy with the purchase. If you are looking for a louvered pergola I do recommend this one.Edit: We just had our first hard rain with the louvers closed. Everything under the pergola is dry. The back of the cushions around the edge were wet probably from the rain blowing through the screen. The louvers and gutter system are great!5/15/2025 - Almost at the 3 year mark and no issues at all. No rust. No damage. It's holding up great so far.

Not too bad to put together. It's more tedious than difficult. Good quality and it turned out great. Purchased the 30x13 size. At first looking at the instructions, I thought it was weird their is barely any written instructions, its all pictures. But we followed it step by step and it wasn't bad at all.

I put a 10x16 pergola on a 12x17 rebuilt deck with the house roof hanging over the desk by 18in. There is only a couple of inches between them, so the fit was perfect. Easy to assemble. My son and I did it. As others mentioned, dont tighten down the screws when putting the crossbeams together before threading them all as the fit is tight. I got the bronze color and also ordered this extra crank from Amazon: Universal Replacement Metal Crank Wand of Exterior Sun Shades Roller up Blind (Brown) Brand: Lihopefe. This is not the pergola that takes the Purple Leaf shades. If you want that one, order it from their web site. They always answered emails within 24hours so I have no issues with the service. Our desk uses Trex color Toasted Sand with a black aluminum rail that looks great with the bronze pergola.

I love my pergola but it wasn't easy to assemble. No instructions for the curtains and they are different lengths and number of hooks. It is built very sturdy and is beautiful.

The media could not be loaded. This is an awesome Pergola.... it hits all the marks. My daughter, son and I assemble it in about 6hrs. Freight: you are not getting this thing delivered with three perfect boxes, which is where the minor dents and dings come from to the product😡.With that said... the assembly went very smooth and the instructions were manageable. All the screws are the same size which brought a smile to my face😃. NOTE: Do not tighten down on groupings of screws until you've aligned and started that group of screws in the holes(you're welcome).The structure is solid and planted, once assembled its not going anywhere💪. My neighbors are especially pleased with the structure and the compliments keep coming... The drapes and netting are an added bonus(THANKS PURPLELEAFSHOP). The Pergola gives you every option sun, shade, stars and the comfort and convenience of continuous entertaining during light rains. Just had my first rain and the gutter system worked flawlessly. Hands down this Pergola is the best bang for your buck!!!
