I will admit that when I decided to try these earbuds from the Yeabomy brand, I was a bit apprehensive and my expectations were quite low on this brand in which I was completely unfamiliar. I can now safely say that I am pleasantly surprised at the quality sound and functionality that these earbuds deliver. I listen to quite a lot of different genres of music ranging from heavy metal to trance/techno electronic music, and most everything in between. These earbuds certainly deliver the goods in reaching decent levels of bass and treble where they are required. Heavy metal guitar solos rip very crisp with no evidence of distortion, while the throbbing bass drum of electronic dance music blends brilliantly with vocals whenever they are delivered together. When testing the button functionalities, I have no issues with the various features designated exclusively for playing music, nor the ones assigned for making phone calls. All double press, triple press, long press, etc. do exactly what they are supposed to do whenever I engage them. The microphone seems to work alright, but at times I do have to grab it to move it closer to my mouth so that the other party can better hear what I am saying. This usually only occurs when I am outside and there is a lot of wind or background noise. The overall quality and craftmanship of these earbuds is also better than expected. After several months of continued use, there are no issues with wire fraying or ripping. The sound from each side still remains even and balanced, while the sound quality continues to deliver at optimum levels. It may not compare to extremely high end models from top brands, but I own very good earbud models from brands such as Bose, Sony, and Skullcandy, and these earbuds do really well in comparison to those brands. Included with these earbuds are three varying size tips that fit virtually any ear shape, so comfort is not an issue since the product delivers in that regard as well. The only drawback that I can find is that the carrying case that is included in this package is extremely difficult to open. On account of this, I have opted to store these earbuds in a case that I had from a previous model that opens far more effectively while they are not in use. At the current price of less than $10.00, you may be thinking that you get what you pay for, but I can assure you that you will receive much more quality and value with this product than you may initially expect. My initial intention was to use these solely as a backup pair, but they have since migrated into my primary pair for daily use. There are more expensive models out there on the market that do not come close the quality delivered here, so this is a safe spot to land if you are currently in the market for a formidable set of earbuds.

With the prevalence of bluetooth earbuds and headphones, one can forget that a wired set of earphones can be a very affordable way to get clean sound from your iPad, laptop and other devices (assuming they don't just have lightning or USB-C connections...which would require a extra dongle to make them work). The first thing I noticed is what they're calling their "memory wire technology." The wires on these earphones are indeed different. They seem very strong and durable and don't look like they'd tangle easy. The next thing I noticed was how clean they sound. I listened to a few of my favorite music tracks on both my laptop and my iPad and the separation and sound offers great clarity and definitely more bottom end than a typical "cheap" set of headsets--you know, like the ones they give away on airplane flights. These can sound a bit too bright on some songs, but that's certainly better than being muddy. And the crisp sound really helps the singers lyrics come through loud and clear. They also call themselves "noise cancelling," claiming they block out 90% of the ambient sound. As far as I can tell, there's no electronics involved in this cancelling of noise, but simply the rubber ear pieces, which fit snugly in my ears, that do a good job of keeping room noise out. Incidentally, they come with three additional sizes of ear pieces (four total if you could the pair that comes attached), so you should be able to find one that works best for your ear canal, or what they call your "auricle" (which a Google search revealed is the outside of the ear). And speaking of interesting language, I dare you to read the description for this product and not chuckle (or scratch your head) a bit. I'm not sure who's writing the translations (some kind of AI?), but they're kind of hilarious. For example, they write: "the sound will not be distorted, bring you a new kind of auditory sense, dental, and sound like feeling extremely rich." Uhh...okay. A lot to unpack there. Not sure about the "dental" part. Maybe they're suggesting that if you play them really loud, the sound will rattle your fillings? LOL They also say, "Effectively more reduce external noise interference after being worn tightly, then you can just enjoy musics by adjusting low volume." I think they mean, "Because you have multiple choices of ear pieces, you can pick a size that fits snugly in your ear canal and blocks out a lot of the noise from the outside world. That way, you don't have to crank the volume to enjoy your music." All that mangled English aside, these are a pretty decent set of wired headphones for a pretty low price. And I didn't even talk about the built in microphone! (I didn't talk about it because I didn't use it.) I probably would have given them four stars because of their "slightly" hot higher frequencies and overselling the "vigorous performance at bass". But because they're so affordable and they really do sound pretty darned good, I'm giving them five stars.

I ordered the Yeabomy Headphones for a couple of reasons, not the least of which is their sleek, modern design aesthetic. The other reasons are for monitoring sound during video recording and to use with my retro game player while in environments that its discordant, casino like sounds might disturb others, like the waiting room of a dentist or doctor. I don’t use the earbuds for listening to music; none of the devices I currently for that purpose accepts a 3.5mm jack plug. As for its design and appearance, the Yeabomy is as pictured and is what I expected; I like the look. The earbuds are clearly marked for the left and right ears, something I’ve found is not always the case. The headphones are supplied with differently sized rubber earplugs, however the ones that were installed on delivery, probably mediums, fit my ears comfortably, as do the earbuds generally. They earbuds fit securely in the ear, which also contributes to their “noise cancelling” efficacy. The wires have the look of plastic wrapped steel cable, further contributing to their modern, industrial aesthetic. In-line of the left wire is a microphone and a phone answer button, not a feature I’ve tested since I won’t be using these with a phone. The headphone’s device connection is via a 3.5mm TRRS (tip, ring, ring, sleeve) jack which is typically backward compatible for devices that normally use a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) jack, the difference being if there is one or two black rings between the tip and sleeve of the jack. As for the sound quality during the course of my stated uses, it’s excellent. The audio is full across the entire range, from bass to treble. The 3.5mm jack connection is secure and free of connection errors. At their current price point, especially for devices that still require a connection with a 3.5mm jack, the Yeabomy Headphones appear to be an excellent value, and even more so if the look of them appeals. However, if the user anticipates using them for music listening, it is suggested to peruse other reviews that may have tested them for use in that modality. The Yeabomy Wired Earbuds are supplied with a hard plastic storage case.

These are comfortable to wear and fit my ears perfectly. the sound quality is alright, but the claim to be noise cancelling is very overstated. This does not work. Quite low quality, but functional.
