Dual 12-volt Air Conditioner GT model uses Ice for A/C Cold Air or Water Only for Evaporative Cooled Air. V

I bought this cooler because our 30 year old car (which runs great) A/C went out and we aren't going to spend 2,000 on a new A/C unit. This item works great. It does exactly what it says. Its not AC but a coolor and it works well. We transport our dogs in this car and it keeps them cooler than being without. We love the ease of use and even with room temperature water, it keeps us cool. I am very happy with this product. I love the fact that the company called to make sure I understood this was a cooler and not AC. Great customer service!

The air is very cool and fan speed can be adjusted with analog.The highest setting blew Air very powerfully and cool my body in a car with No AC pretty good.Ordered with hose set, but since I drive my car by myself and this unit can be placed in passenger or floor mat of passenger. The air is cool and powerful enough to cool me down to Ok level of comfort in california Hot weather with No AC installed in a car.

I live in Denver and it's been in the 90s sometimes above a hundred in the last month this thing has been a godsend. I was actually going to trade my car in without air conditioning was pretty miserable driving around. And it limited the places I could go too. But with this gadget I'm perfectly comfortable. It is impressive.

My husband loves this thing and treats it like a part of him as I look wherever he is and it’s next to him. This has saved him lots of hot days while doing off duty in Arizona heat! Great service and great product!

At first this is a great little unit, which is why you see great reviews. They turn it on - it has ice and everyone is happy. Then reality sets in. The 2nd hour comes. No big deal you run out get another 10 or 20 lb bag of ice and put it in there, again everyone is happy. Then the 3rd and 4th hour approach. It is no longer fun, it is no longer awesome. The 5th hour you wake up out of a dead sleep sweating like a pig wondering what the heck and realize oh yeah.. there isn't any more ice. But you think, wait I just put 4 bags of ice in there shouldn’t it be at least a little cool. No I don't expect 54 degrees but at least what a fan would blow. NO! Even with the windows downs per the instructions (which now lets in mosquitoes - clearly your issue not a concern of the man who makes these) it's stifling hot.So you are torn.. sweat to death or get up and raise your ice cost now up to $20. It's too hot you so you go get the ice.. now greatly annoyed and very tired because you have to keep getting up (wow! who thought this was a great idea) at 5am even the clerk sees the dramatic change in you and wonders why would you own a device that makes you go through this.You think whalaa! I've got ice I will be cool. But when you turn it back on - it isn't cold. It isn't even cool. The unit needs to play catch up - ice has to melt.. Water has to become COLD in order to blow out anything remotely similar to chilled. So you are again sitting in stifling hot for another good half hour waiting for cool air that you paid $600 for. But wait.. finally you get cool air but you have either passed out by now or are so miserable by now it doesn't matter. Your soaking wet. Your clothes are wet. Your sheets are wet and now they smell. Again you ask.. why did I pay $600 for this?But you only get 30 minutes of cooler - not cool - and certainly not COLD air. It's 6am and the ice has melted. So no a bag of ice doesn't last a hour after continuous use. No I don't have a ice chest that holds over 90lbs of ice. (Which cost about $250 - $400) so no there isn’t a continuous source of ice close by. PLEASE BE AWARE – that you need a ENDLESS SUPPLY OF ICE.. yes it states this but people including myself thought.. well I don’t need 54 degrees coming out the whole time so I won’t need a bag EVERY hour.. but what it’s written is.. if you want the unit to WORK AT ALL – YOU MUST BUY A BAG OF ICE EVERY HOUR.So I ask, if you have access to that much ice.. then you certainly don’t need this unit. Just put a fan into the machine making that much ice.Another item that is missed by consumers .. is you can’t be moving around. It doesn’t cool a space only a few inches in front of it. So you must remain absolutely still or the air will go right past you. So if not sleeping I can’t imagine why anyone would buy this..SO DON’T BUY THIS… it is absolutely impractical and not truly a Air Conditioner. I wish someone had written something like this before I stupidly threw $600 away.

Cooled a small trailer to about 75 degrees while driving across the western US. Pretty loud, but much cooler than a normal fan without the evaporation.
