I think this is a great hammock for the price. The wood is very solid. The only negative and something others have mentioned is the finish on the wood is very thin and probably wouldn't hold up with constant exposure to the weather. To address that I added 3 coats of an exterior high gloss clear finish and it looks great. The only other thing I would mention is that although I was able to assemble it myself another person assisting would have made it easier especially when trying to line up the screw holes. Some have mentioned they needed to purchase additional hardware since not enough was included. That was not the case in my situation. In fact, a few extra washers and nuts were included. The only thing that would have made this purchase better was if a pillow was included in addition to the hammock itself. But overall, I am very happy with this hammock.

We were pretty happy with this hammock. We were able to put it together ourselves, though it took longer than we expected (to be fair, we're not the handiest people) and it seemed like the parts didn't QUITE fit together 100% perfectly. Certain parts fit together too loosely, and certain others fit together so tight that it was very difficult to align them and get it through. As a result, when it was put together, it still felt a little bit wobbly, and so we find ourselves using it less often than we otherwise might. However, it's a great value, looks beautiful, has held up well after all summer in outdoor weather exposed to the elements, and is a nice option on our deck.

I had a huge space to fill and was looking for the largest hammock I could find. This one was 14’ and the largest I could find was 15’. I am 6’2” and fit perfect in this one. The box arrived with all the hardware missing, but I reached out to the seller at 4:30pm and had all of the hardware by the next day at 10am. I couldn’t believe how quickly the seller got me the hardware. I’ve read other reviews saying hardware was missing and the person purchased it all separately from a big box store. I’m so glad I bought from Petra instead of somewhere else, the response time and customer service was top notch!

I’m not one to write reviews however, I believe that our public should be aware of what you get for your investment. First, the wood constructed materials are heavy duty. It comes coated lightly however if you have some extra time and help, You can apply an extra coat of urethane. Here in New England where the summers are short, I can always apply it even after the summer season. Overall good product however, you can put this together by oneself if you have the ability to do so, if not another hand won’t hurt. 11/16 standard hardware. If you are looking for a hammock support that looks expensive but is very much affordable , this one will do the job. Just remember to purchase an appropriate size hammock or you might find yourself on the ground after getting in.

I LOVE my hammock! It's well made and sooo comfortable. I did have a issue with a split in the one piece of the wood, but the vendor replaced it very quickly. The size is large and it's prefect for two!

Nice looking frame and hammock. It does have a small crack in the wood where the eye bolt goes through the one end that holds the hammock and hoping it does crack more. Assembly was simple but the instructions need to be a little more clear as to which washers go on which bolts. I bought more washers and put them on each and every bolt for added protection to for the wood. The wife has used it more than I have and really enjoys it. Hoping it lasts for many years.

Seems like I'll be happy with it. It could have had a stronger protective coating, as I felt it was a bight light, and might not live up to our weather. I ended up adding another 2 coats of poly to add protection and think it will last better than prior purchases.
