Practice Exam for the General + Civil FE Exam: A full (110 question) exam similar in content to the new FE Civil Examination

Passed on the first try and only used this practice exam! :)

As others stated the problems here are much harder than the actual FE problems. This was a little aggravating during studying because I felt like I spent a lot of time on learning how to do problems I didn't necessarily need. That time could have been better spent elsewhere. Also, the book did not explain a general strategy on taking the exam. This is understandable though because the CBT is still very new and so not too many resources exist for it. Overall not a bad study guide but I think the NCEES online practice exam was a much better resource.

I liked it because have problems very similar to the exam but, I found a lot of mistakes in the solutions!!!! This is a book that you need to revise a lot to make sure its publishing without any mistake because your practicing for a very hard exam and can frustrate the user!! A message for the author: Please make a revision to this book!!

While this book is helpful to study for the FE, it contains many typos in the solution section and some of the solutions are missing important steps and skip ahead to the answer. For example on question 032, the solution is to the 8th power (16.06x10^7 which they then change to 1.6x10^8), but the possible answers to the question-a,b,c, or d are all only to the 7th power, but they say the correct answer is 1.6x10^7. I wish I had bought the more expensive yellow cover FE practice guide.
