Lonely Planet Tanzania 7 (Travel Guide)

I just finished going through Lonely Planet Tanzania for a trip to climb Kilimanjaro and Safari this up-coming summer. As always from Lonely Planet, I got all the information I was looking for and discovered some other things about Tanzania as well. I've been using Lonely Planet books for my travels since the 80s and have benefited greatly from using Lonely Planet.

Best way to prep for a trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar! If you like to research before visiting a foreign country and have a good baseline of what to expect, what knowledge you need to be respectful to the culture, and make sure you have some sense - this book is perfect. Not too detailed, yet just detailed enough. Highly recommend.

I'm in Tanzania and use this every day. I'm here for work so not going to parks much but use this for food and lodging recommendations, logistics, maps, and to orient my self. It works well, is not too big. Seems to miss a lot of good and bad restaurants, and oversells attractions a but you simply have to have it here if moving about.

If you're travelling to Tanzania and want to get good pointers for places to visit or things to see, LP is a good recommendation.If you're doing a safari in the northern region it describes the parks and some of the characteristics, this is helpful.Arrived quickly and was a good deal.

It will be helpful when I make the trip.

Too much info in book not accurate.

It gave good insight on planning the safari and Zanzibar portion of my trip. It can be overwhelming going through all of the options and this was a food resource.

Same format as earlier editions, with some updates.

This guide has all the truth. I found that when I bought the one for Southeast Asia the info on the guide was more accurate than that in hostelworld, and all them other sites.

I bought this for my daughter for her trip to Tanzania.
