Japanese Curry: Now In Your Home
I bought this based on a review which claimed that, when combined with S&B Oriental Curry Powder, it tasted nearly identical to Japan's CoCo Curry. Having just returned from a trip to Tokyo, I was determined to enjoy that flavor again, and this combination really is the same as what you'll get in Japan.Preparation is easy, I usually only use about 500ml water to avoid having the curry turn out too watery and then simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.Storage could be an issue; I would strongly recommend using a glass storage container for this. Curry has an extremely strong presence, and putting it into plastic of any kind will almost guarantee that the plastic has an essence of curry for a long time afterward. If you like Japanese curry, but this with the above-mentioned powder. You won't be disappointed.

THE BEST JAPANESE BOXED CURRY MIX!
Our favorite curry mix! Our family has tried many different types (both from Japan and from local Asian food stores) and there is no doubt this is the one we prefer. This is slightly sweet - not spicy at all. This is Japanese curry, so don't expect it to have the same flavor as Indian curry. You could certainly make this from scratch, but why bother? This stuff is so delicious and easy!

A definite keeper!
I mix half hot and half mild to get the right amount of spice for us. Tastes like the real Japanese deal. We love it! Generally I make my own curries and I could certainly see making this one from scratch but this is a short cut worth taking especially when creating a more extensive recipe.

We love Japanese Curry!
My family members are long time fans of Japanese curry. Results are always wonderful and consistently making a hearty meal, served like a plain stew or with or w/o rice or other starch.I often buy other flavor packs and mix them together with whatever kind of 'stew' I have in the pot.Very convenient and simple to use. Takes only moments to fix, after you have made a thick soup or a stew.

but I'm a little disappointed my packages have an April 2018 expiration date
I have always been a fan of this Brand of Vermont Curry. I would normally give a 5 star rating, but I'm a little disappointed my packages have an April 2018 expiration date. I won't be able to eat 10 pkgs of curry by then, and I'm sure the curry will be okay past the expiration date, but I'm used to my dry goods having 6-12 month expiration date. Nonetheless, I love this curry and I'll buy again.
