These work perfectly for a tummy tuck scar if you alter them a bit and prep your skin properly!
The trick to these things is knowing how to use them properly. It took me two whole sheets to figure it out. I used these for a long tummy tuck scar on my lower abdomen. At first I followed the directions and used an entire rectangle. The bandage did not stay on long and started peeling off around edges like other people said in their reviews. The first round lasted about 3 days. I thought, “Wow! That’s expensive and doesn’t last long but maybe if I alter how I’m using them and prep my skin more aggressively they’ll stay on longer.” So I did, and then they worked perfectly! I’m starting my 6th week of treatment and boy am I glad I stuck with it because my tt scar looks amazing! (Side note, I also used the little square embrace bandages for my new belly button which was starting to scar slightly around edges) So this is what I did to make it work for me. First I clean the area in the shower with straight up soap and water and rub with a wash cloth gently. Then when I get out of shower I don’t touch any lotions or oils and immediately use a thin, baby wash cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the area where the bandage will go. Then I pluck any hairs I see that the silicon bandage may go over. Then I use rubbing alcohol again all over and even my hands before handling the bandages. I clean a pair of sharp scissors with the rubbing alcohol as well and use the scissors to then cut the large bandages in half lengthwise. I stand up straight and let my belly be relaxed. Next, I peel off one half and put on the middle part of my scar first, pulling it taught but not too much. Once I have it where I want I press down with my hand and rub along the strip and apply pressure all over it till it has completely adhered to my skin. Then I do it again on one side, overlapping slightly. Lastly, I cut another strip in half and only use one half to complete the coverage on the other side of my scar. So you’ll end up with two, 10 day treatments in one box for one very long tummy tuck scar. This process works so well I think the silicon bandages would actually stay on a lot longer than 10 days but I always peel them off on day 10 and let my skin breath for 12 to 24 hours. I also moisturize the area during that time as well. So basically these things are awesome if you figure out how to use them right! I guess it might be different for people with other types of scars but it worked for me and my tt scar! Good luck!

Very misleading and expensive
I purchased this item on the recommendation of my surgeon after a breast reduction. After watching a how to video multiple times I found that it was fairly simple to apply with the help of my husband. After the first application which was done in the evening. I showered the next morning as stated that I would be able to after application. I notice the following evening there were a significant amount of lifting on the sides. I slept in my bra on to help with any air bubbles and lifting underneath my breast area. Needless to say that did not work. I found after three days the strip was completely lifting underneath and there were significant air bubbles under the pad. This product only cost me a lot of money and no reassurance that this will help with my scarring. This product is very expensive and very misleading to those of us that has undergone any type of surgery or injury. With that being said I will wait for time to heal my scars and use a fade cream to minimize the look of scarring. For products to cost as much as it does especially the large pads that I needed to cover my areas of scarring is ridiculous that you cannot get a one treatment. I do not recommend this product and I am very disappointed that this company is misleading consumers in such away.

Read directions
There’s a ton of negative reviews on this and upset people. But the folded paper that comes in the box with the product, states everything all of these negative reviews are talking about. *THE PRODUCT IS NOT WATERPROOF. It’s water resistant. And the paper states it’s ok to shower with it, but to not have too much water get on it. *THE PRODUCT MAY MAKE YOUR SKIN RED. It says it’s ok if the product makes your skin a little red. It says to stop using it if it blisters your skin. It says for best results, when it’s time to take it off, don’t put a new one on for 12-24 hours. *THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS SAY IT MAY NOT STAY ON A FULL 10 DAYS. It depends on where your scar is located. If it’s in a high tension area, or located in an area where friction is often caused, it might not last a full 10 days. *IT TELLS YOU HOW TO REMOVE PRODUCT. Do it in the shower or where you can run warm water with soap to gently peel it over on itself, you need to be careful as it’s supposed to adhere to your skin and ripping it off like a bandaid can hurt your skin, or rip your skin. Personally, for my use, I had a mini tummy tuck. I used this product and it lasted 3 days for me the first time’s use. The next morning, my skin was slightly red in some parts, but not all. I kept it off for 2 days and in those days, I applied a scar gel/cream instead. The reviews that people show the results, have amazing results. So I will continue using this. But read the damn paper people.

I found the pads a bit hard to place as you cannot see where you are placing them before they are on and you u can’t move them. There is a black line guide but as with my scar it is not in a straight line. They stick very well, and are super comfortable. Just started using them so will have to check back and review the outcome in three months

Very poorly made product - spend a lot of money on it and it comes off immediately at application. Tried one by myself and it fell off immediately - then did 2 more with my plastic surgeon who’s direct quote was “these used to be better”. They came off right away and were useless - absolutely no chance for reuse or anything. Save yourself time and money buy any high rated silicon tape - same effect 1/10 the price. Item is a joke - I won’t ever bother trying to return it just in case my review is removed - I’d rather stop atleast one person from making the mistake of buying it.

Terrible. Have used before and not had any problems, but this one fell off in one day.

I have a scar on my kneecap from surgery. I immediately noticed the difference with the two sides being pulled together and the strips have probably reduced feelings of my skin pulling. Air pockets do form for me about midway through. When I was waiting for another order, I noticed my scar raising after a few days of not having the strip on. Even though it doesn't always stay on and sometimes doesn't last 10 days, I would definitely recommend as the results are obvious.
