Q: Does it come in a box along with the cotton bag? My parents bought a couple from Italy and it's packaged in individually wrapped box

It came in a cotton bag, and had a white box around that. Large piece of soap.

Q: Will this lather in a washcloth?

Yes, though not to the degree of hard-milled soap. The soap is very gentle -- it doesn't make me itch.

Q: Where was this soap made?

It's now made in France, as the soap factories in Aleppo have closed because of war.
