Magnesium L- Threonate-(2,042 Mg), Patented Original Magtein Supplement From MIT Inventors to Clear Brain Fog, Support Sleep, Mood, Focus and Memory - 30 day supply- Veggie Capsules - 60 ct. : desertcart.in: Health & Personal Care Review: Buen producto Review: Updated: 19/02/2018 Been using this for some time now, there is a noticeable relaxing effect (initially it made me anxious but by week one of regular use it relaxed instead) this seems to increase blood flow to the brain rather dramatically, but the effect is quite nice when combined with say green tea or real matcha you become very relaxed and very alert (most likely more green tea components make it to your brain). This is likely more like an 'enabling' supplement. However I have found ionic/liquid magnesium to have a MUCH more dramatic effect on memory and over all body relaxation IF you are getting enough vitamin D and C along side it. As 400 doses of magnesium chloride costs around $9 USD and you only get about 3 months out of this container (or 1-2 months if you supplement a higher dosage) and the rest of the body desperately needs more magnesium than the brain.... just taking more magnesium in the diet has the same effect (i.e. 600 mg a day instead of 460 mg). But when not taking enough: MORE magnesium makes it to my brain with this (very pronounced effect after adaptation period) product! Absolutely wonderful and no fillers! I am terribly allergic to certain fillers and highly active 'inactive' and 'stabalizers' ingredients in supplements so these are heavenly for getting magnesium to my brain neurons (heavy mitochondrial damage in my brain, and gilial cell starvation issues with BBB due to complicated nutrient processing/absorption differences). 3 things to note: Very potent, at 2 capsules a day you definitely feel dramatic changes in neuronal firing/signaling (less likely to depolarize mid synapse chain). Because of the previous feelings of anxiety/dread can be greatly enhanced as synaptic firing is less likely to 'stop' on demand (biofeedback) so if there IS actually something to be afraid of (such as snow 'quietly' about to collapse your roof, or a wild animal/human prowling around the general area with hostile/invasive/subverse intent) the feelings will be unable to be suppressed or 'let go' of until the magnesium, D and C is fully metabolized (up to several hours depending on what you are doing) so I don't really recommend you take this to 'relax' from anxiety related stress or tension. Conversely to the above when the environment is safe and tranquil these help you relax quite more fully than say, deep meditation can alone, and you don't even need to mediate for a solid relaxation. It also aids general relaxation regardless of the previous too by relaxing many major muscle groups and excess tension (I recommend laying down on firm surfaces as your spine will relax too, and it could easily deform if you are laying or moving incorrectly!), though all magnesium seems to have this general effect.

This Magnesium L-Threonate (Magtein) was originally recommended by my neurologist, and I’ve now been taking it for about two years. As a post-menopausal woman, I was really struggling with brain fog and memory lapses, and this supplement has made a substantial difference. The improvement in clarity and focus has been very noticeable, and I truly feel sharper and more balanced throughout the day. On top of that, it also helps me relax and sleep more soundly at night. I appreciate that these capsules use the clinically researched Magtein formula, and I like the addition of Vitamin C and Vitamin D3 for overall wellness support. The capsules are easy to swallow, gentle on the stomach, and the quality feels trustworthy. Having tried other forms of magnesium in the past, this one is in a league of its own for brain health. If you’re experiencing brain fog, memory struggles, or simply want to support your cognitive health, this is absolutely worth it. I wouldn’t want to be without it now.

I started taking this because I'm researching Nootropic stacks and it did come recommended by a few fitness enthusiasts. I was wary of the association with MIT (I thought it may be a marketing ploy.) and I've been burned by so many supplements that don't do anything. After taking it a few weeks I figured I'd write a review about it being okay, however, it has a bonus effect I didn't consider as a possibility. It has stopped my leg and foot cramps! It didn't matter what shoes I wore, how much water I drink every day, or which magnesium supplement I took because the cramps stopped me in my tracks. I took this for two weeks with one capsule twice a day and cramps began to slow and then stop. FINALLY! I took up to 2 grams of some supplements by choking down 3 - 4 of those 500 mg horse pills a day, hoping they'd at least decrease the cramps. They had little, if any effect. I have low blood pressure and horrible muscle cramps but that's it. I'm not a diabetic, a vegan, vegetarian, have no bleeding disorders. Not all supplements are manufactured equally and I'm really surprised with how well this works when considering all the other brands that didn't. Since this is also part of my Nootropic stack I wanted to wait and see if anything was happening or if it's the dreaded placebo effect. I've never benefited from the placebo effect since taking a whole bottle of other brands only to have my leg seize up and twitch during a meeting. During the first week I started taking Magtein I had just ONE leg cramp and a minor foot cramp. In my experience I've had up to seven cramps just in my calf per day and four foot cramps. I even wake up cramping in my legs and feet then deal with soreness that doesn't want to go away. The two cramps I had that week lasted less than a minute and I haven't had a single cramp since then. I stretch and go for walks and runs with no cramps to slow me down. I can sit and work at my computer, stand, and basically do everything without waiting for a cramp to stop me. If that doesn't make you happy I don't know what will. My actual benefits: 1. Increase in mental stamina and focus for complex tasks. 2. Elimination of mental fog. 3. Full night of rest every night. 4. No more cramps! 5. * Dose can be changed. * By taking two capsules a day you get 36% of your daily recommended allowance. If you want to take a bit more you can.

This stuff is amazing. Everybody is different, but within a week I was sleeping better, had more energy, and was thinking more clearly. A member of my family has experienced restless legs syndrome, and I suggested she take a magnesium supplement (not threonate), The symptoms have stopped. It's only been three weeks. So, the jury is still out, but I'm hopeful magnesium was a solution. If you do your research you'll see all sorts of benefits attributed to magnesium and that only 25% of the American public gets enough. I was skeptical, but the benefits I've received are not subtle and correspond with the claimed benefits. As for the brand, I've tried Neuro-Mag and Magtein. I've landed on Magtein, but I'm not sure it's any better. I first tried Neuro-Mag and received the immediate benefits described above. Then after a month I switched of Magtein, and I feel even better. That could be because this formulation is better or it just could be the benefits phase in over time. I really don't know. As far as I can tell, all the companies selling magnesium threonate are all licensing the formula from AIDP, which is the company that produces this brand. I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm that. Regardless, I'm sticking with this version for three reasons: I'm feeling better (with the disclaimer above). I only have to take it twice a day. And why mess with something that's working? That, and I don't mind so much flipping an extra five bucks a month to the folks who invented this stuff. I'd recommend this to anyone who has difficulty sleeping or feels their energy and cognition has been compromised. On that subject, I also recommend you try cutting back on carbohydrates and sugar. I believe they rob you of energy and mental clarity. The benefit of my cutting back there wasn't nearly as strong as I've experienced taking this supplement, but you may wish to give it a try.
