Replenix Medical-Grade Caffeine Fortified Calming Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid for Sensitive Skin (1 Fl. Oz)

This serum has been the starting point for my skin care regimen twice a day for many years, and it has really made a difference, both in terms of minimizing photo aging and as an aid with rosacea. It takes time to see the benefits. The consistent use of its green tea with caffeine formula has been very helpful. It also contains some hyaluronic acid now too, which helps your skin retain moisture. However, it’s important to understand that it’s a serum that contains these helpful compounds, not a moisturizer. I use a separate moisturizer afterwards. While I think this serum has helped with my rosacea, I also use prescription metronidazole cream or gel for rosacea as well. (There are some other prescription meds available for rosacea now too.) I don’t think an OTC serum standing alone has the effect of a prescription medication on rosacea, especially to clear up the bumps I used to get and to reduce the overall facial redness. I believe this brown gel-type serum is the real thing. Apparently the concentrated green tea with caffeine accounts for the brownish color. I haven’t used the cream form, which may offer a little moisture too, but given how little I’d use, I know I’d still need to use a separate moisturizer. When you order the Replenix serum or cream on line on Amazon, you can check to see who’s selling it. Right now, I can see that this is sold by Replenix, the manufacturer, and delivered by Amazon. You can also buy it as sold by Amazon and delivered by Amazon, and in that case, I think Amazon buys it from Replenix to sell. At this point at least, it doesn’t look like it’s being sold by a third party seller here on Amazon, which can sometimes be a problem, although I can’t speak to the past. My dermatologist got me started with this serum, but it’s nice to be able to buy it here at a lower price than my doctor’s office charges. I don’t put this serum close to my eyes. I believe it’s not designed for the very sensitive skin close to the eyes. I use a moisturizing eye cream that’s gentle and soothing in that area. I also use a moisturizer twice a day on my face too since it’s very dry here in Arizona year round. Even when I lived in humid Georgia though, a good moisturizer was part of my daily routine since I have dry skin, and the furnace dries it out even more in the winter. In short, this serum has been a very helpful part of my skin care regime for years, but it’s only a part. We each have to find the combination of products that works best for us, including any prescription meds we might need, plus moisturizers, sunscreens, and topical products like retinoids and glycolic acid to turn over skin cells and slow down aging. It’s not easy to work out what’s best for yourself, and I’ve found a good dermatologist really worth the cost to get good advice and fine-tune my regimen, but I know everyone doesn’t have insurance that helps with that cost here in the US.

I have tried every lotion out there known to man for relief from the itch and tingling of my shingles on my forehead. Even some prescription ones. This is the ONLY product that gives me lasting relief. I is so worth the price.

I purchased this item for the first time in November 2012 because I wanted something to soothe and heal my hypersensitive skin prone to redness and flushing. This serum has a light gel-like consistency and is absorbed by the skin immidiately, which makes it great for oily skin (like my own) The first positive thing I noticed was that my dull skin tone quickly became clearer after washing my face and applying this serum afterwards, but my skin didn`t stay clear long at the time back then. After a couple of months the real improvement started to show. I didn `t flush as easily as I used to, my skin became more firm, pores became smaller and I didn`t get blemishes as often as I used to. Unfortunately the redness has become more frequent again. I believe it is very important to use a gentle cleanser along with it. I was using a mild organic cleanser with few ingredients during the period when my redness and flushing was kept to an absolute minimum. While I waited for a new cleanser to arrive in my mailbox I made the huge mistake of turning back to my old cleanser containing harsh chemicals, fragrance and strong exfoliators such as glycolic and salisylic acids. I didn`t think one day with that cleanser would matter, but I guess it did. The reason why I removed a star from this review is that it`s been several weeks since my mistake and my redness still is not as controlled as I would like it to be. But despite of not being a miracle cure for extremely reactive skin it has been and still is a great addition to my skin care routine. My skin looks so much younger than it did before. The texture of my skin looks so much smoother and firmer, my pores are less noticeable and when I look back at how often I got those terrible flushes before and how long the redness lasted afterwards I know it`s a great improvement :)

i've tried many products over the past couple years to tame my rosacea flare ups with little success. i recently had a really bad flare up happening and after doing some internet research, gave this stuff a try. it seemed like a lot of money for a little bottle but i was desperate. i CANNOT believe how quickly my skin responded to it. within a couple days, my skin was clearing up and the two big spots on my forehead at my hairline were healing over. a week later, my skin is 95% cleared up using the serum once to twice a day. i stand by this product 100% and encourage folks to try it who are suffering from rosacea.

This was one of the recommended products from my dermatologist. I have never used serums before, but I really like it. It goes on smooth and absorbs right away. It seems more like a gel than a slimey serum. It's nice feeling. The most important part is that my skin looks very clear and pretty. Almost radiant. I am now on my second bottle (they last a long time) and I will continue to use it. The price on amazon is dramatically lower than any other online store.

I'm in my upper 30s. I have been using Replenix serum around my eyes for about 2 months at night and in the morning, followed by a bit of coconut oil for moisture. I have noticed a definite, obvious, consistent improvement in puffiness around my eyes. Some improvement in the dark circles - it's just genetic for me - but I just reordered the product to make sure I don't run out.
