Works well but crank handle should be larger and stronger

I purchased one Amazon claimed damaged box for a pretty good discount so I wasn't expecting perfect. Miraculously it showed up with all the hardware except a single flat washer because who ever assembled it at the factory wasn't given any tools. The first picture is how I took it out of the box.I switched the rollers around so the crank wheel is on the top roller otherwise as other reviews stated the crank almost rubs on the surface it's sitting on making it hard to turn without hitting your fingers.Seems to work for what I am doing but will probably make some upgrades in the near future. The fit and finish of parts leaves room for lots of improvements.

The box arrived in tact. No external damage. Upon opening it, I heard metal clanging. Something was loose. As I pulled the taped styrofoam item out, along came screws and washers. The I pulled the tape off to reveal the contents. The metal shelves were bent, including the mounting holes and the brackets were loose (not a big deal). I was able to assemble it, and it works, however the shelves wobble and just looks horrible.

This is very sturdy (heavy) and fairly easy to assemble. It does a good job cold laminating adhesive vinyl onto things and has plenty of room to adjust height. I think it could be improved by providing instructions for use, having foldable shelf support wings (avoids customer assembly and is more compact), having a crank that can be used on a flat surface without hitting your knuckles and most importantly, some kind of clip to hold the support shelves up when folded. They flop down with the slightest movement and are loud when they do.I find it easiest to insert my blank, so I can adjust the rollers before getting the laminate positioned. Maybe this is a given for those with experience, but I’m a new user with no instructions. I’m going to fashion a “clip” for the support shelves from a couple of 3M hooks and an elastic hair tie.In hindsight, I still would have purchased this piece of equipment. I’m confident it will last well and will help me avoid the extra bubbles that come with (me) applying large pieces of laminate.
