This is a very nifty little tool that is very handy for all kinds of different pipes. The rosewood handle looks nice, and the poker is very sturdy, but still pretty skinny for how stout it is. It has a very good length as well. The surprise is the scraper. I did not really buy it for the scraper, but it is very handy! one side is beveled to scrape well without damaging the bowl, and it works really well.

This is surprisingly sturdy for how inexpensive it is. The different parts have a variety of uses and I'm definitely getting another if I lose/break the one I have.

I had ordered one of these and the scraper and poker both were completely loose. Which is just like any other product there are duds in there. I recieved my replacement of the same and it is great, nice spring back on the arms and solid heavy material. Nice quality. So like I said it was just a loose one I got at first but I'm sure that is rare due to this quality and overall weight.

I love this tool, but not as-sold.First: QualityThe metal layers are solidly welded together, but the pick side comes out a little too easily. The black wood in the handle inlays on both sides were cut too wide so they hang over the metal in different places. One side is not sealed down all the way, so it wobbles which makes me feel like it’s flimsy. I’ll probably remove it, sand it, refinish it and add a better seal so it doesn’t move around in my hand.Second: UtilityThis has three uses: tamping, scraping, and picking.Utility: TampingUnless there’s a particular use for the tamper that is not implied by the nature of the product, this should be rounded or at least have rounded corners. I’m going to round mine out into an oval so that it’s more useful.Utility: ScrapingBarely usable. The blade here has teeth on one end and is solid on the other. The idea would be very nice except that the metal is so thick and the teeth are only etched about halfway into the thick metal, so it essentially functions as two flat sides. I’m going to grind down the back of the side that has the teeth so that they are actually toothy, and probably thin up or sharpen the flat side so that it can scrape better. I’m not currently using it to scrape because it’s too thick and dull.Utility: Picking (see pictures)Two things. First, The tip of this is very thick. We wanted to use it to pick out screens or stuck pieces, but it’s so big and dull that it just wedges them in further and I can’t get the screens out to save my life. To fix, I carved my tip down into a slightly hooked shape and thinned it out. Now it can get under a screen or pick out small pieces.Second, it’s too long. With the pick fully extended, it’s awkward to use and difficult to control. I’m thinking I’ll end up cutting about half of it off, carving the hook into the tip again, then cutting a groove into the back of it so I can press with my finger to guide it.Oh, also, there is no thumb groove to pull the pick out. There is one for the scraper tho so makes me think it may just be a manufacturing defect. I’ll prob carve one of those in, too.So, as is, I don’t recommend this product.However, if you already have a Dremel, a bench vice, and a few metal carving bits, this surprisingly ends up being a great “blank” for an easily customizable tool.

Basic tobacco pipe tool. Sturdy in the hand and nicely constructed. Solid attachments won’t bend backwards like other models are prone to do with use. Acts as a fairly nice tamper, as well. Great value.
