Zippo Stainless Steel Flask - High Polished Chrome, 3 oz

I wanted a Zippo small hip flask and ordered it.My wife decided to pay for it and give it to me for our 11th Wedding Anniversary (steel )It's a very nice looking flask and functional

Nice flask, small enough for the Bergen.. lid is a touch awkward but fine once you master it. No funnel though, bit annoying had to source one as an extra....

I was after a tiny hip flask to hold a small amount of whisky and coke, I didn't fancy a dirt cheap flask, so chose this Zippo flask as I use a Zippo lighter.Nicely packaged, feels sturdy and holds 3oz which is 90ml.It does not come with a funnel so you will need one to avoid spillage. The funnel in my photo is a 5.5cm Kitchencraft hip flask funnel, bought here on Amazon for around £5.My chosen beverage is 30ml of Famous Grouse and 60ml of Coca Cola. I measure it out in a small pyrex measuring jug and pour it into the funnel.The flask feels solid and you can't squeeze it in, but while it was in my pocket I heard a loud "ping" and noticed that it had bulged out due to the coke in it!I didn't think that 60ml of coke diluted in 30ml of whisky would have that amount of force to do that to stainless steel but it does! Despite the "pressure" inside there was no leaking from the cap.As others have noticed it can be quite tricky to line the cap up and get the screw thread started.It's a lot of money (almost £17) for a tiny flask made in China (as most Zippo items are), compared with other non-branded flasks of the same size for around £4 which are also made in China, but I suppose you're paying for the Zippo name.Initially soaking it in soapy water to get rid of any metal taste, I rinsed it and left it to dry and it has stained near the top which no matter how hard I rub it won't clean off.Hopefully it will soon get some scratches and patina in my pocket so the fingerprints don't show up as bad, would have been better being brushed chrome as it's a fingerprint magnet...Would I buy it again? Probably...

Great sturdy construction that you would expect from zippo. My only concern is the high shine finish which attracts fingerprints like crazy. Therefore the flask ends up looking dirty and dingy after being handled just a few times until polished. Would be better in brushed stainless steel.
