I purchased this product to toe my mare to trailer. I find the lead rope slides slowly through this descended thus preventing her from panicking it rope is tight. It's value priced, sturdy and clean as rope slides gently through. Great product.

Used as a rigging plate in a canyon context - tension/release techniques work fantastically with the shape - it's less ideal for releasable blocks and smooth lowers due to the shape. I carry one of these and one round 8 device on my kit as a result.

Easy to use and load , compact . I am using this as my bail out for Fire Department with 8mm rope/cord. I double wrap the speed 8 for extra friction and it works amazing. It is great for 11.5mm rope single wrap.. super light

A solid piece of equipment

Good, basic descender. I use when rappelling at the Pinnacles. Nothing overly SUPER about it but it does what it was intended to do and is holding up well.

Just used this rappelling in the dark on a recent spelunking trip in Central America and it was perfect! No tangling or knots and it didn't mind the mud and dirt at all.

I'm sure this is great for whatever you're supposed to do with it, but it also makes a great slingshot body.
