Hi-Tec Eurotrek Lite Waterproof, Men's Eurotrek Lite Waterproof Walking Boots

This is my no BS honest MEDIUM term review 😱 My only criticism so far after putting these through several months of fairly hard use is I wish they’d come in half sizes because 10 is slightly too small and 11 slightly too big! 😠 I settled on the 10s and being leather they have moulded to my foot shape more over time.They also have no removable insole which I would like but in practice isn’t an issue so not really a criticism. Right that’s got that out of the way the rest is good news (so far) 🤞 I find these boots well made and very comfortable with no hot spots right from new! What I like is they arn’t out and out walking boots,you could happily wear these about town or for manual work (as I do) as they are quite lightweight and quite smart looking and not too bulky or anything.Yet they are capable general purpose work/walking boots.As well as for work (window cleaning) I’ve given mine a fairly hard life gardening etc. and country walking and so far no issues.Havn’t fully tested their waterproofness yet but in normal showery conditions they’ve kept my feet dry.I love the hook eye lace ups for speedy on/off. In summary No they arn’t top end hillwalking boots but for 50 quid they are really excellent value.Two thumbs up and then some.👍👍

These are comfortable out of the box, no need to break in. I have back issues and only buy shoes with some ortho reference in the insole. I came across Hi Tec shoes by accident and find them light, excellent support and stylish. I ordered these on Amazon as the price was excellent for this type of product. On first wear I found these super comfortable, I went for a 10k walk....and could have walked all day. I think these would be an excellent choice for a city break, where you intend to do lots of sight seeing and want to be prepared for the weather. These shoes are warm and definitely waterproof ( as I have tested- wet grass, small streams). The soles have good grip and time will tell how they wear. I can highly recommend these as the Price/Quality ratio is very high.

I've worn Hi-Tec boots since buying a pair for casual wear during my tour in the Falkland Islands. That first pair lasted forever, and when they eventually wore out I replaced them with what I thought was the same type, but they were not. I got THIS pair in the hope that they would be somewhat like my originals, and although they are totally different, they do represent a return to form. When they first arrived I hated them. They looked huge and clumpy, and I thought they felt a bit snug, like half a size too small. I persevered, and they are now like slippers. Very heavy slippers. These are NOT light boots. Nor are they delicate. The sole area is massive. Great for walking on loose or soft surfaces, not so great for driving a sports car with closely-spaced pedals. I've grown to really like these boots over the 18 months I've had them. Not as much as my original Hi-Tecs, but a lot. I wear them every day, for most of the day if I'm outside. I've walked miles and miles in them. The uppers look almost new, and are totally waterproof. The soles are just beginning to wear down. If these are still available in a year or so when this pair gives out, I might even buy another pair the same.

This is my second pair of these boots. I have worn material boots for a long number of years but they don't seem to last long without water coming in, regardless of the breathable waterproof linings. I remember the leather boots of old were quite heavy and clunky. These are light to wear and comfortable for a days walk. I have some longer walking holidays planed, so I am interested in how they will perform and feel day after day. They are also a very reasonably priced compared to other 'big name' brands. Even if they do not last as long you will still get your monies worth. The only downside I have found is that the soles do not shed mud as well as other boots I have worn. Apart from that., an all round good boot.

I have worn a range of Hi-tec footwear for over 30 years. For the 10 years have had consecutive pairs of walking boots, in which time the price has increased from £30 to £45. Always comfortable, waterproof and value for money. They used to last 3 years of constant use. Previous pair lasted just 20 months, despite having the same use. (The leather cracked and the soles became unglued from the uppers). Bought current pair this summer. After less than 3 months of similar use and the leather laminate coating has peeled off the toe area. Worse is that the sole has unglued from the upper on the right foot. They are unlikely to remain waterproof much longer. This evidences a clear deterioration in quality and durability. They are simply not fit for purpose. Regrettably, I will not buy Hi-tec again.

Excellent boots for the price, but wear some thick socks for the first couple of outings in them because the seams are a bit hard on the ankles at first.

Was very pleased with these boots when they arrived, still am, mostly! I found them true to size, immediately comfortable, very waterproof, good grip. I wear them daily for dog walking, probably cover 4-5 miles a day in them. I noticed over past few weeks I've been slipping on wet surfaces in them. Today got pulled by my dog after a cat, and slid along someones driveway like I was on skis, unable to get enough grip to stop the dog. I checked the tread on them when I got home and saw it has significantly worn down. "Oh well, I have had them a while..." I thought, and just checked on amazon to see I've only had them just over 3 months!!! Extremely dissapointed, the boots are great but are now dangerously slippy in wet weather. I'm afraid I can't reccomend them now.

These boots are excellent and very comfortable plus waterproof and no slipping. Good purchase.

Op de gok en naar aanleiding van recencies deze schoenen gekocht. Een maatje groter besteld omdat ik een wat brede voet heb. Ze zitten als gegoten, lekker stevig en prachtig leer.....wat mij betreft een aanrader.

take one size up when ordering if you have big foot otherwise a top product and good Irish company that I had to deal with about the size.
