I absolutely love this raw natural cocoa butter from Motherland. It instantly reminded me of the cocoa butter sticks I used as a child. The scent took me back and made me reminisce about when I first learned about the health benefits of real cocoa butter. The 4 oz size is generous and has lasted me a long time, which made it worth the purchase. I also really like the resealable packaging. I’m so happy with this product! I bought it to use in a homemade solution for cloth baby wipes. I added some of this along with coconut oil and unscented baby soap, in boiled filtered water. I think i’m going to use it as a moisturizer for my baby as well. The smell is unreal, a gorgeous rich chocolatey scent. It melts down beautifully. I used some of the left over melted butter all over my body and my skin is moisturized and GLOWING. The quality seems to be good, even tho some people must have gotten a bad batch themselves. You get a decent sized bag for the price, 4 oz looks like a lot more than you’d think. All in all this product is highly effective and a great addition to any skin care!

Great quality cocoa butter for DIY skincare & handmade gifts I purchased this cocoa butter to make a homemade Christmas gift for my mom, and overall I’m very happy with the quality. I used it to create a Lush-inspired exfoliating shower bar, and once melted, the cocoa butter blended smoothly and evenly with my other ingredients. The scent is natural and rich without being overpowering, and it gives the finished bar a very nourishing, luxurious feel on the skin. After rinsing, the skin still felt soft and moisturized rather than dry. My mom absolutely loved it and commented on how moisturizing it felt. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the cocoa butter came in fairly large pieces, so it took a little longer to melt than expected. Once melted, though, it performed exactly as hoped and set well in the final product. This is a great option for anyone into DIY skincare, soap making, or creating thoughtful handmade gifts. I would purchase it again for future projects.

I've been applying this cocoa butter daily for about a week now, and it's already helped me greatly. My skin gets itchy and irritated when the weather turns cold/dry, especially wherever clothing rubs on it. Cocoa butter famously melts at body temperature (I've learned that the best chocolate for instance in Belgium is made with pure cocoa butter so it melts in the mouth and isn't waxy), so I simply hold a chunk of this in my hand for a while and it starts to soften so I can rub it on the skin. It causes no reaction or irritation for me but forms a soothing protective barrier which feels soft and silky. I got the refined variety and it doesn't smell like chocolate to me but has a soft and pleasant scent. I think for the quality the price is ok. I'm happy with it and will buy it again!

Great value. I was able to make a batch of creme de cacao, a blended baby butter for a mother's cracked heels (the moisturizing!), and the scent lingered on my hands like a quality butter should while not being overly greasy or sticky like some brands can be. If you want a clean, moisturizing, high quality butter that is reasonably priced for its size and not gonna leave you feeling that greasiness? Go for it!
