Full of suspence!
Divine party game! Simple to learn, lots of fun and lots of accusing. "Guess who" theme with added extras for added interest. Play as many character add- ons as you like. Easy set up just sit everyone in a circle and give them one card each the more people the better. Will get many hours of pleasure out of this one! Gotta be top of the list for party game. You do need a storyteller or someone willing to take charge. Without a storyteller theres no game. So exhibitionist character required. You just gotta identify the werewolves before they eat you during the night! Its a blast buy it!!

YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME!
I REPEAT YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME! It is brilliant whilst a bit confusing in the initial first game, it became much more clearer, spooky and exciting as further games were played. The minimum you need to play is 8 we played with that number and each game lasts about 10-20 minutes, not long. But we haven't added all the characters into it yet. What I will say though is you're going to need a good narrator as they are the all epicentre of the game, without somebody who can walk quietly and control the group well the game won't go so well, it is there job to keep the suspense of the 'village' intact.

Great fun for big groups after dinner
We ended up playing this in the small hours on a stag do recently, after a few bottles of wine. The fact that we were sitting around a fire outdoors made it all the more fun, and actually just a little bit spooky - the premise of the game being that the werewolves secretly murder the villagers, one by one, until and unless they are caught. The game itself is like a sophisticated wink murder - but it's very well balanced, and has a few wild cards that make the gameplay that much more interesting. It also gives an interesting insight into human behaviour, with an element of accusation, double-cross, self-defence, and sleight of hand.Great fun - if you've a large group of people who want to do something after dinner, this is a brilliant use of £8. I wish we had had it to hand last week, so I've just ordered one for Christmas - brilliant thing to follow the gammon and stilton on boxing day!

The greatest group game ever!!
Werewolves has been the fulcrum for genuine, laugh and shout out loud fun with 8+ friends on many occasions and I could not recommend it enough. At first sight Werewolves is an extremely simple set up. Most of you are villagers, some of you are werewolves who eat the villagers. Work out who is good and who is not before it's too late!Whilst there is a simple story line to set the scene and keep the game moving the fun is really about your ability to lie and to spot the sneaky traits of your friends.Every round you get to vote on who you think the werewolve(s) are. Cue much shouting, cursing, outraged indignation, counter claim and untold brazen lies as you and your friends attempt to shift the focus or defend genuine innocence! There are plenty of extra characters with unique abilities to add as you get comfortable with the concept (a couple of games will do that) and these really do add new dimensions to the play. For any one bored by board games stay right here . . . this is not remotely like the dice rolling, token shifting affair you might glaze over with. This is all about the people you play with and their personalities. The decision for "go on, one more round . . ." is the only thing me and my mates always agree on with Werewolves - just buy it!

Great for get-togetheres
I bought these for a big family get-together. The age range of the group was from thirteen to over sixty. We had loads of fun with this game and played until the early hours of the morning. It is worth a few people learning how to play it first, as it does seem a bit confusing when you first read the instructions. In fact a couple of the group looked up a video on the internet and took charge of the game. It's really addictive and would be great with atmospheric music and sound effects.

No English instructions
My son was desperate for this game after playing it on a scout camp recently. We got the large full box and he was really excited, however it was short lived as there are no English instructions in the box.So now he's having to translate it via the good old internet.Expensive for a game we can't easily play.

Awesome!
Awesome game. I learned to play this game in the Netherlands at my sister's university and thought I should get it and teach my friends in the UK. It is an exciting game that gets you giggling and laughing at the end, especially the accusation part. My friends and I just literally make up any reasons to accuse one of us to be a werewolf, e.g I think you're a werewolf because you're wearing a black t-shirt and werewolves like dark things, therefore you're a werewolf. Being the narrator is quite a difficult job to do but that's what make it fun as well, particularly when we can choose a theme and scenario for the game. It is enjoyable and recommended.

Fantastic game, great set at a good price.
I love this game and am so happy to see a decently priced version in card. Some of the versions on sale recently were terrible quality and tiny little boxes for almost the same money. This is the only set you'll ever need, admittedly there isn't actually much in the box but what is there is nicely presented and in heavy duty card.Fun game but you will need a lot of friends round to play!
