Well formulated product
I'm particularly happy that the product doesn't contain any unnecessary fillers and weird ingredients. The pill size is rather easy to swallow and I think it's a great value for your money at the current price of 21ct/serving. Initially I bought them for yogurt making but when I received them I discovered that they are in acid resistant capsules which means the capsules make it through the stomach intact. That's a big plus so I decided to just take them as intended. So far, I haven't observed any negative side effects. Each capsule contains 20 Billion CFU (colony forming units) of Bifidobacterium lactis. The listing claims that they're manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility and 3rd party tested.

Excellent Single-Strain Prebiotic with Inulin
This Bifidobacterium lactis product is a dietary supplement designed to support digestive health and overall well-being.It's made in the USA, GMP-certified and free of sugar, yeast, wheat, egg, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. It contains 20 billion CFU (colony-forming units) of the probiotic strain Bifidobacterium lactis per capsule. Known for its role in promoting gut health, this strain is widely studied for its ability to enhance digestion, support the immune system, and maintain a balanced gut microbiome. The inclusion of prebiotic inulin fiber further boosts its effectiveness by nourishing beneficial gut bacteria.Bifidobacterium lactis is a probiotic bacterium that belongs to the genus Bifidobacterium. It is commonly found in the human gut and fermented dairy products, like yogurt. This strain is widely studied for its beneficial effects on digestive and overall health, making it a popular component in many probiotic supplements.Potential Health BenefitsDigestive Support:- Helps alleviate constipation and bloating.- Improves gut motility and regularity.Immune System Boost:- Promotes a healthy gut microbiome, which plays a crucial role in supporting immune function.- May reduce inflammation.Lactose Digestion:- Assists in digesting lactose, making it particularly helpful for individuals who are lactose-intolerant.Heart Health:- May positively influence cholesterol levels by reducing LDL (bad cholesterol).Weight Management:- Supports metabolism, potentially aiding in weight regulation. This probiotic is generally considered safe for daily use. However, individuals with weakened immune systems or specific health conditions should consult with a healthcare provider before use.Prebiotic Inulin fiber promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, improving the overall microbiome balance. It is a type of soluble dietary fiber found naturally in various plants, such as chicory root, garlic, onions, and bananas. Inulin is not digested in the stomach or small intestine but reaches the large intestine, where it acts as a food source for beneficial gut bacteria, such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli.Benefits of Inulin as a Prebiotic- Supports Gut Health: Promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria, helping to maintain a balanced gut microbiome.- Improves Digestion: Helps alleviate constipation by increasing stool bulk and promoting regular bowel movements.- Enhances Mineral Absorption: May improve the absorption of calcium and magnesium, contributing to better bone health.- Regulates Blood Sugar: Slows digestion, which can help stabilize blood sugar levels.Weight Management:- Provides a feeling of fullness, potentially aiding in appetite control.Prebiotics are foods (typically high-fiber foods) that act as food for human microflora; they are used with the intention of improving the balance of these microorganisms; whereas, probiotics are foods/supplements that contain live microorganisms intended to maintain or improve the "good" bacteria (normal microflora) in the body. The capsules are acid-resistant, ensuring that the probiotics survive stomach acid and reach the intestines intact for maximum efficacy. The capsules are made with DRcaps technology and made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), a plant-based polymer, making them suitable for vegetarians and clean-label products. These capsules are designed to delay the release of their contents, ensuring that sensitive ingredients like probiotics, enzymes, and certain vitamins are protected from stomach acid and released in the intestines. They help mask unpleasant tastes and odors, reducing the risk of aftertaste or reflux.

Yes, You Can Culture Yogurt from This…And It’s Creamy, Mild, and Alive (Video Included)
The media could not be loaded. If you’re looking for a clean, functional probiotic that can also be used to culture yogurt at home, this strain delivers. I used a capsule of this Bifidobacterium to inoculate a fresh batch of milk and cream. After about 19.5 hours in an incubator, it transformed into a thick, delicious yogurt.Results:- Texture: Dense, smooth, and uniform- Taste: Less tangy than commercial yogurt, with a creamy finish- Pairs beautifully with fruit or a touch of honeyWhy I Chose This Strain:Many store-bought yogurts are made with strains that produce histamine, which can be an issue for some people (myself included). I specifically value Bifidobacterium for its histamine-friendly profile..Practical Perks:- Capsules are easy to dose yogurt cups- Excellent value (you can make many yogurt batches from one bottle)- Clearly alive and active (see video for proof)As someone with a science background, I approached this like a home lab experiment. And yes. (Sorry for that lol). But the results were genuinely enjoyable. If you’re new to homemade yogurt, take it slow: this is a very high concentration of live bacteria. A few spoonfuls go a long way, especially if your gut isn’t used to fresh cultures.Every body responds differently, but this lactis strain worked beautifully for me. I hope it does for you too. Thanks for reading… ☺️ hope the video helps!
