Good varity to grow for a very long harvest.
They came up nicely but took a lot longer to flower, fruit and to ripen than other roma type tomatoes. Average disease resistance. They grew almost to 7 ft and produced a lot of small but long tomatoes. It was not a great success on my terrace garden in trivandrum city but grew amazingly well at my parents garden in Wayanad where the climate is mild. The plants my parents have are almost 5 months old now and still producing like crazy. When the temperature stays between 18-26 degree celcius they are very resistant to diseases. The fruits are very fragile and can drop once they are ripe. Their skin is so thin it can split if over watered. Fruits have only two seed cavities and can be cooked into a sauce in a minute or less.We are still picking tomatoes from just two plants. They are more than enough for a 5 member family.

Very less to no fruiting
Had a very good germination rate and growth of the plants. Strated flowering a lot after three months but flowers does not turn into fruits. Even after five months of plantation we could see just 5 pieces of Tomatos 🍅 on almost 30 some plants.Tried giving organic as well as chemical manures but still can't see flowers turning in fruits. Also tried manually pollinate but have no luck till now.

San marzano review
There was far more seeds than the 30 mentioned on the pack. After six days 50 per cent germination was achieved even though the weather has been really poor with constant down pour and no sunlight. The health of the seedling looks fine so far and showing good promise. Waiting for a sunny day right now. Will upload pictures in the future and will update my review how the plant does.FYI germination is better in an enclosed box preferably white in colour.

Good germination. Good Seedling growtg. Shall update my review as the plants grow.
Review 1. So far so good. Lots of seeds have germinated. Right now at 2 leaf stage. Review 2 : Seedlings are healthy about 5 to 6 inches tall. Transplanted. Shall revert soon.6/10/2016. Update : 26th Nov : Plants are about a foot high. Flowering begins in a few of them. Also serious yellow leaf curl disease ( an incurable viral disease ) has infected. Although white flies were under control which is a vector for this virus it is clear that San marzano variety is not virus resistant.
