Really liked how every step was easy to follow. Everything went together perfectly.

Watch and pause the video in steps. don't rush this and you should have no problems. when putting back together make sure you double check how the on/off switch goes. Only goes on one way. I have some very small screwdrivers that worked better than tools provided. a magnifying glass also helps! Do Not mess with that gold cable ribbon. took me about 20 minutes but as said go slow.

Use video for easy to follow, step by step mistake-less replacement. Impressed! Tools also provided!All as advertised. Excellent so far. If battery holds a charge longer even better!

Taking apart the Garmin would be difficult without the thorough instructions and special tools provided with the battery kit. The video on the DVD walks you throught the process step by step. I have a lot of tools, but I'm not sure I would have had the special little screwdriver needed to take out the two screws that hold the case together. Also, without the pry tool they provided it would have been hard to pop the case open even after removing the screws. However, the little Phillips screwdriver they provided wasn't up to the task of removing the 4 circuit board screws, but I had one of my own that worked better. They are really in there tight, and a bigger screwdriver was needed. Replacing the battery itself was the easy part compared to opening the case. It worked fine, but it remains to be seen what kind of battery life it has. I can't say the original Garmin battery life was any great shakes, so hopefully it's at least as good as that. Time will tell.

Clearly Garmin's intention is that you should pay for a new $$$ GPS $$$ when your battery dies. This battery works perfectly! Easy to do if you are very carefull and take your time. Be extra carefull with the fragile copper foil tape connector that stays connecting both halves when apart. Tear that or pull apart the two halves to far and it is ready for the trash can. I watched the You Tube video on how to replace your Garmin Nuvi battery before buying. Great video by the way. Mine works and charges just like new. The battery is the same capacity 1250ma on the new and 1.25ah on the old. I found out on line that if you keep your finger on the displayed image of the battery it will go in a diagnostic or test mode.

I replaced the battery in my Garmin 265 with this battery and the included torx #4 screwdriver. While the torx #4 screwdriver did not fit exactly right (it was too small) I was able to make it work. After the work was complete, I contacted Innovate88, who provided the kit, and told of the problem with the screwdriver. They immediately sent me at no cost a set of two screwdrivers a torx #4 and a torx #5. Apparently the Garmin 265W Nuvi uses a Torx #5 screws. I thought this was excellent service. And with the new battery, my Nuvi can work for much longer periods of time unplugged. The kit also included a DVD with instructions on how to replace the battery.

The replacement battery worked well and the instructions were good. The set of tools they sent were useless and I used my own instead.

The instruction was easy to follow and you absolutely need the special tools to open the Garmin to install the battery. Fast shipping. The battery is holding the charge, works like a charm.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the battery works great. It gave new life to my Garmin.

I am a 60 yr old women and was able to do this with the tools provided !!!!! Who knew I could do this. I works like a charm. It was a little tougher to get the 4 screws out and put back in, than they showed but I did it. You need the tools and the DVD to make this work. Watch the DVD first it really helps.

No issues with the battery replacement. It works as advertised. Not difficult to install. Fast delivery. Would recommend this product versus buying a new GPS.
