Hard tempered wire but not brittle
I used this to make a retention clip for an old CPU cooler (for socket 8, Pentium Pro) and it was perfect for the task. It is springy but still malleable enough to be shaped using pliers without breaking. And it holds its shape beautifully. Essentially the perfect material for the task. Only used about 10 inches of the spool for that but based on how versatile the wire is I'm sure I will find good uses for the remainder.
