Tennis elbow / Tendonitis? This worked great!
Over a year ago I was splitting some large wood rounds while making firewood. The rounds were too big for the axe alone, so I had to pound a wedge in. After three hours of pounding the wedge with a sledgehammer, my forearm got tennis elbow/tendonitis quite bad. Ice and Ibuprofen became a daily thing for the next couple of weeks before the pain got slightly better, but it never really went away until almost NINE MONTHS.Just recently I was again cutting a tree down in my property, and was working at an awkward angle, over-exerting the same arm (right), then the next day went fishing for a whole day (I cast with my right), where I flipped/pitched (a technique that relies mostly on forearm muscles): my forearm was in a sharp pain again, bad.At the suggestion of my wife, she looked up a forearm brace with the best reviews, and came up with this one. It comes with the compression sleeve, which I did not use but it feels nice and snug, and the brace itself. I put it on, and also love the fact you can adjust it from both velcro straps on either side of the brace, providing an even compression around the arm. The instructions included were also clear and concise (unlike this review).I can wear this brace comfortably the whole day. I started tightening a tad tighter in the beginning, and as the pain went away, I started to wear it less tight. After about two days with it, I went fishing again, and felt very good flipping baits. The arm did not worsen afterwards, but just as a precaution, I did ice it that night. After the third day I noticed a HUGE improvement in my arm pain. Now I'm about a week wearing it, and barely feel my forearm pain. Taking Ibuprofen and icing regularly at the beginning, coupled with this brace, then easing off the meds and ice and staying with just the brace worked for me. I think I'll stop using this brace in a couple of days as the pain will probably be all gone. Just so you know, the first time I got pain bad over a year ago I did not go to the doctor or take a shot as many do, and it took FOREVER to heal. This time around, having only the brace as an addition to the way I treated my pain, the pain went away WAYYYYY faster.Below is my original feedback, which the company co-owner asked me to copy/paste in this review. Since I'm so happy with this product, I decided to write a more detailed story, and include some photos.=========I was never a believer of wearing a silly band around the arm for tennis elbow / tendonitis, yet after a couple of days, I feel it getting better!=========

Does work with some suggestions...
It does work. My simple test was pulling open a heavier door. With the brace in place the discomfort when doing that is reduced about 80%.Funny, it was not intuitive on how to initially open up the the brace's belt. I was pulling on the wider felt ends with frustration until I realized that the velcro material is the narrower plastic section attached to the bottom of each end. Also, it's not clear in the user guide on where to position the logo dot of the brace based on the type of injury, (golfer's or tennis elbow.) I found the proper positioning for golfer's elbow on a YouTube video by a physical therapist using a different brace. For both small issues above, recommend the user guide be clarified. A YouTube video showing how to open the belt and then place the brace for each injury type would would be helpful.I use the sleeve and brace for weight lifting. The brace functions well for each exercise except bicep curls. The flared end of the brace digs into my bicep at the top of the movement. Which is a negative because doing wide grip curls using a 2 stack weight machine or a preacher bench does cause pain without a brace. So that brace support goes away when I have to move it down my forearm to avoid it digging into my bicep. If that geometry is not required, perhaps DashSport could reduce the width of the flared brace ends in a design evolution.I also use the brace for riding a road bicycle which was also causing elbow pain from how I position my hands on the handle bar. The brace relieves discomfort for that activity also.

Brace really does help during game play!
I'm 41 years old and play racquetball 2 - 3 hours a week and lift 2 hours a week. About 2 months ago tennis elbow started to creep in. I tried a few other items, and none of them really helped during game play. I bought the elbow brace and I can say while the pain is still there, I don't feel it as much and the DashSport allows me to continue on. Realize this will not fix your elbow, but if you are like me and love to play, it will allow you to continue. Now - the supporting facts. My wife measured my right gun as 13.5 round and as you see the chart says Large ends at 13.5 and X-Large Starts at 13.5. If you read the first statement, I said I tried "other things" one of them being a full length BasketBall compression sleeve. So I know what I like.. Tight! When I received the Brace, I knew right away the half sleeve wasn't something I like and it was pretty big. No problem, because the Brace is what I really wanted.. Well, the first time I played with it, it came of twice during play. I used a spare pieced of velcro to expend it a bit more the second time I played and it worked good. All this time, the DashSport people sent me emails asking "How is the product?" I did respond back with what I have written above and guess what.. They sent, at their charge, a Large Sleeve and a second brace.. COOL!! Great Customer Service. Now you might be asking yourself "What about that spare piece of velcro to hold the brace during game play?" .. Turns out that BOTH ends of the brace and velcro off to ensure a proper fit.. I had no idea and felt a bit stupid when the customer support agent told me this! I am HAPPY to say I've played 4 more games with the brace properly adjusted using only what DASHSPORTS built on the brace and it's PERFECT.LOVE THIS BRACE!I am still going to the doctors to address the over all pain, but again - This brace helps you through the pain because I would rather play with pain over not playing at all!
