Spiral lamps are specifically designed for small to medium enclosures and they produce little heat. Legal Disclaimer Only intended for use in terraria or other animal enclosures, not for regular household use. Always use a ceramic E27 socket. Our bulbs are packed in fitting styrofoam inside a cardboard box. like any other lamp or bulb would be transported. We try to reduce shock and / or impact to the bulb as much as possible during internal transport and transport to the fulfillment center. Good so far
I a. Very pleased with the purchase so far.. I love that it came with a UV output measuring card. It's nice to be able to see the intensity of the UV at varying distances and to see when the bulb needs replacing. I'm slightly concerned that with no heat output the turtles won't be encouraged to come out to bask. I will probably have to get a heat lamp as well. I will see how things go!

Rubbish Lasted two minutes
This product was faulty it lasted about two minutes so I returned it.
