I love making things from scratch, and this book has tons of ideas for standard popsicle flavors and creative ones, all with lots of flavor and none of the preservatives or weird stuff they put in the store-bought varieties. They’ve gotten rave reviews from my family members and our friends who’ve tried them! Making popsicles might just become my new favorite hobby! Review: Gourmet Popsicles Recipes - I'll admit I never gave popsicles a second thought as far as recipes and creativity are concerned. So when I bought this book for my daughter, I was surprised and impressed with the detail and creativity of the author that was put into this book. The book itself is a nicely made hardcover volume with plenty of sharp and richly colored photographs. The recipes are well thought out and cover a wide range of flavors and ingredients that I wouldn't have given a second thought to turning into frozen treats. Kudos to the author and publisher for making something we take for granted into something unique and special! I'm sure I'll be sampling some of these special creations when I visit my daughter and her husband in future summer months.

This popsicle book is awesome!
I got this book to make some easy recipes for popsicles with my kiddos! It has some awesome pictures! The front of the book is very eye catching! All the bright colors makes me want to make popsicles everyday! Easy to read the recipes and easy for my 6 year old to help make them! They are delicious! The recipes have natural foods in the recipes! I love that! The binding is well done! If you spill a little on the pages it wipes off nicely. I can’t wait to try all of them!

Great Book (with a few caveats)
This book has some really excellent popsicle recipes that are approachable and beautiful. If you're the kind of person who would buy a whole cookbook for popsicles, then I'd recommend this book with a few caveats. The recipes typically make (8) 2oz. pops. The photos are almost all of 4oz pops, which is consistent with a typical adult sized popsicle. Since the whole recipe makes 16 oz, I typically have to increase the recipe by 1.5 times to fill my Tovolo Groovy (6) 4oz. popsicle molds. Or make the recipe as written and get (4-5) 4 oz. pops. About half of the recipes (often the fancier recipes) require a blender. I didn't have a blender, so I could only look longingly at the photos of Caramel Macchiato and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip popsicles. Some of the recipes haven't turned out quite right. The Marshmallow Coconut Creme didn't look like the photo with an even, aerated appearance. I couldn't keep the meringue mixture fluffy and it separated in the freezer. The "Any Jelly" pops became impossible to get out of the mold because of the layering of jelly and yogurt. Perhaps it was user error, but popsicles aren't on my list of foods that can reasonably require any skill to make. They were all delicious though and easy enough that I would try again.

So many easy & delicious popsicle recipes
I love this book of popsicle recipes! I checked it out at my local library and enjoyed it so much that I had to buy it for myself. We have already made a lot of the recipes so far this summer. I make them in my Zoku mod pop molds, which makes 6 popsicles from each recipe (the recipes are written for 8 slightly smaller pops). I love that the recipes call for simple ingredients, use less-refined sweeteners where possible, and are largely gluten free (only a few exceptions, like cookies & creme, but even that is doable if you find GF oreos). My favorites so far have been cappuccino, orange creamsicle (orange juice, banana, yogurt, vanilla--surprisingly on point), and arnold palmer. I think I'll try chocolate chip cookie dough next. My husband's favorite was cherry limeade, which had chunky bing cherries and a tart lime aftertaste.

So Many Popsickles!
The variety in this book is fantastic. There is something for everyone in here. Creamy popsicles, fruity popsicles, spicy and tart popsicles. It's so easy to make your own pops but sometimes you need a a helping hand with recipes. I found that this book really helped me make popsicles with ingredients I already had in the kitchen which is great for leaving no waste! Things I never would have thought of on my own.

As I write this, we are just inside the first few official days of Australian Spring, so it isn't hot enough for popsicles yet, but when it is, I will have something delicious to make and try. Each of these seems very simplle to make, easy to aquire ingredients that everyone has heard of, and I love the healthy aspect that Sarah Bond has worked into these, as it'd be just as easy to add a load of sugar...but she doesn't. These are popsicles you could give to your kids, or eat yourslf, guilt free, while on your health diet, no problems. There's even a recipe for "pupsicles" so your doggie friend doesn't have to miss out either! I would reccomend this book to anyone!
