Good beans, but the package is too small
Beans were good quality, with washing, not a single one was bad and wasted. Pity the quantity is only 16oz, as I use about 10 oz each time. I'd buy it again but would be looking for a bigger package for better value for money next time.

You can sprout them
I soaked them for 24 hours in water and put them in a ground. They sprouted!

Tasty and easy to cook up
Like them better than kidney beans for chili. They are tender and cook up pretty fast.

I had hoped to sprout these for use in a multi-grain bread, but they would NOT sprout until after many had rotted. I have tried soaking them for a different recipe. That did work, but I do miss my sprouts.

Adzuki Beans
Adzuki beans are my favorite of beans. They make great soups , spreads, desserts, and main dishes. Great quality beans here I highly recommend them.

The Mochi’s Were No-Chi’s
Not Good Quality, Very Pale. My adzuki beans came looking very pale & small. I was asked if they were even red beans by my Korean mother because they werent red, even after cooking. They looked pale pink in the bag. I thought they would turn darker after cooking but they didn’t. I think they were old or something. They didn’t have a robust taste but rather dirt like.I made Mochi, and this is how the red bean paste looked. I followed a popular normal Japanese recipe that’s the same everywhere.I have been eating Mochi my entire life, 40+ years and never saw beans looking this stale. The photos are the beans at different stages of cooking. In mochi, after boiling and processing, after soaking overnight, and after boiling. As you can see they are’t the beautiful reddish purple color but literally a pale imitation.
