Great little device
Very easy to set up in the Aqara app and create automations. If you go this route, you can ONLY add and control other Aqara devices. If you have an Aqara Matter hub, like the M3, you can also add and control non-Aqara Matter devices. But there is a workaround. Adding it to Home Assistant with the Zigbee2MQTT integration makes it much more powerful and useful. (DOH, the Zigbee!) When you do so, all the button entities (push, double push, hold, release) are exposed to Home Assistant. You can control ALL Home Assistant devices and automations with it then. I don't know why they don't advertise this. (OK, they want to sell hubs so there's that.)Very cool little gizmo. For example, I've set one up for my wife with a "going to bed" automation, so that a single push turns off all downstairs lights, sets two LED strips to 10% as nightlights, and turns on the hall light so she can head upstairs to bed without being in the dark. (A double push turns ON all downstairs and outside lights. In case the hears a noise or something.) I love these things. I have 5 of them. And I have the Cube too, I just can't find a use for it. But it was $23 so I had to have one. LOL. Integrates into HA exactly the same as the button. If you have other Aqara devices, you'll love this thing. If you run HA you'll REALLY love this thing.

The best home assistant buttons I've found so far
I've tried out several different types of buttons from many companies including the likes of IKEA and a few other companies from Amazon and they all suck compared to these. Their main issue is that they all "sleep" to try and save power so if you don't use them regularly, like multiple times a day, they'll go to sleep and you'll have to hit them twice to get a button to register. These just work. I have a button next to my front door that I have set up to turn all my lights and my TV off so I can just hit one button on my way out. I use this naturally about once a day. All the other buttons I've tried you have to hit twice. These just work like you expect. Even "worse" I have a button at my desk that turns some task lighting on at my desk if I want to get lots of light on whatever I'm working on, that button can sit idle for days or up to a week sometimes, it always just works.Unlike the listing says these are compatible with Home Assistant, you don't HAVE to use their hub. They're very simple to set up in home assistant, fairly sturdy so far I haven't had any of them fail yet. No disconnects or any issues after getting them set up. They can be a little fiddly to get connected in Home Assistant but I think that's just my setup. They're a nice size, easy to push the button, they don't look really cool or anything but in the same aspect the don't stand out either.

Alexa friendly
These are great. I have a couple that I attach to my Alexa ecosystem to run routines.

Odd button behavior in HomeKit.
I just added this to my M100 hub and it wasn't the smoothest setup. The connection failed 3 times before it finally accepted the device. I was about 8 feet from my hub so it wasn't the distance that was the issue. I'm wondering if it was competing with my already existing Thread network? Not sure, but once it was added, the connection seems pretty strong.Build quality is good. I'm hoping the internals are well designed and built. I've heard of other people having issues with Aqara products failing early on. As this is my first Aqara product, I'd like to start off with a good impression. My biggest complaint is about the functionality of the switch in HomeKit. When I press the button once, it turns on the assigned Hue bulb. Great. But if the light's already on, a single press doesn't turn off the light. It's almost like it doesn't understand the device state of the bulb. Or it's relying too much on the automation system. I hope this is addressed in a future update.Other than that one complaint, so far so good.

Poor Battery Door Design
Bro I rarely leave reviews. BUT THE BACKDOOR TO OPEN THIS IS SO DUMB!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHWhy would you design it so poorly in the back to get to the battery smh. I have to give it a 1 and the only reason i need the door open is because when i pulled the plastic that removes it from the battery inside it didnt even tear out right.Out of all the home assistant challenges it takes for certain integrations I think im more frustrated with the backdoor to this product.

Works with SmartThings
The device works with SmartThings it's just a pain to do. All of the KBs written are for the old SmartThings; however, I believe the solution that got mine working was the following drivers by searching Google for "Smartthings Channel obmaz" -> the first thing that shows up should be his GitHub -> From within Github you will see a URL halfway down the page that states "You can enroll the channel and install edge drivers by using invitation URL" -> From here you click the Available Drivers Icon -> wait a minute or so for the page to load -> Click Install the driver titled "zigbee-aqara-button" -> This is where the unknown nightmare of pairing starts... I believe the issue is first you need to wait a few minutes for the driver to load to your SmartThings. From the Smart Things app click the Plus button, Click Add Device, Click Searching for Devices -> From here, hold down the tiny button at the top for roughly 3 seconds the light will flash blue then let go of the tiny button, and every one thousand and one press the button and promptly let go and repeat until the device shows up. If the searching for devices times out, go back to the room where you started to add the device and make sure that the device didn't just show up. I hope this helps! Note: If you continue holding down the tiny button for too long, you will just keep resetting the device versus every one second keeping the device alive. Also, make sure that you are close to the SmartThings Hub at least 15 feet from it, and are connected to the same Wifi Network as the hub!
