Passive Bookshelf Speaker with Removable Magnetic Grille and Hi-Fi Amplifier | Positive Red Finish | Studio-Grade Sound for Vinyl, TV and Wireless Streaming

I am plesently suprised at how well thses speakers sound. I purchased the speakers and small Bluetooth amp for the limied purpose of listening to music from my smartphone and Chromebook. I have more sophisticated high-end audio equipment using Canton and Definitive Technology speakers. I therefore was not expecting much from these far less expensive pair of speakers but I am very impressed as to their build and sound. I had no problem inserting bananna plugs in the speakers or the nice little Bluetooth amp that was included. I don't play music loud on any of my audio systems so I can't speak to how these speakers sound quality listening to music genres such as heavy metal, K-Pop, etc.

... with the other current reviews. as I have a few nitpicks about these speakers. the sound quality is quite good for a basic unknown brand as they were able to keep up with my tower speakers. they are hooked up to my old Yamaha AVR and a cheaper Pyle receiver through a Neohipo VU meter switch box. with the Neohipo I can A/B the speakers with either receiver. of course the towers throw out more bass because it has two bass driven woofers, but I had both receivers set at zero/flat position on bass/treble and these speakers held their own. the soundstage and imaging I give two thumbs up as I actually was able to hear some things I don't remember hearing before and they disappear in the room like they should. Now onto the nitpicks: #1 the one speaker connector was not drilled all the way for the banana plug to fit properly ( still works) #2 the same one is racked (out of square), when laid on its side it rocks from corner to corner. but the bottom is flat so it sits fine. #3 the ad here does not explain that this is a 4 ohm speaker, I was wanting an 8 ohm. nor does it tell you the wattage the speaker can handle (40 watts). #4 the pics do not show the back of the amp, I had to find the amp ad to get the pic of the back. there are no RCA plugs on the back for a CD player or turntable. you can use a two female RCA to a 3.5 male adaptor to make it work. #5 No banana plugs that I could find, but I have some I bought already. I have not used the amp yet, but overall, would I buy these again, and the answer is yes. the sound quality is there and I do like the look as they have a midcentury modern look with oval covers and green color ( our bedroom is a slightly lighter shade of green). So to finish this review, if you want a nice sounding small speaker. I believe these may be right for you. if you have a teen wanting to get into hifi or one going off to college, I think it would fit the bill as it comes as a kit and only needs a source for music. Woofer is 4", not 5 1/2" as claimed. Speaker wires do not include banana plugs, just plain wire. Adapter listed in included literature as 21V 3amp, is only 21V 2amp. Sound reproduction is ok, but it is not loud. Inadequate for anything other than a small room, certainly not adequate for a party setting or as a home theater. Bluetooth range is ok. Remote works well but has limited range. Did not test HDMI/ARC, MIC, OPTICAL, or AUX inputs. Will likely return it. Would never recommend it at the regular price.

I’m impressed with these cheap little speakers and their little hifi amp. Great bang for the buck if set up right and you can get over some irritating inconveniences, or even find a way to bypass them, which I haven’t found yet. However, the little HiFi amp that comes with the speakers and powers them shuts off on its own when not in use. This disconnects the bluetooth to the speakers and becomes a chore to reconnect the bluetooth and settings each time I output music to my system, and let it sit for a while. On the bright side, when I applied some equalization through Boom 2, or Apple Music, the sound improved significantly and impressed me, which isn’t always so easy to do. So despite this one drawback, I’m impressed with these cheap little speakers and their little amp. I was shocked by that spatial richness that the Boon 2 equalizer provided when connected to the sound for these speakers. For $100? No brainer for someone interested in a very cheap system that can sound audiophile great. Update 09/21/2025: Although the amp turns itself off after 3 minutes left idle. The remote control is a big plus, where you can switch your sources, adjust volume, adjust base and treble, and turn the unit on and off. The banana plugs advertised were not included in my shipment, only naked speaker wires. But no biggy. Over all I’m very pleased, especially with the quality of sound for the money. Update 9/30/25: The woofer on these speakers from the outside edge of basket frame to the outside edge of basket frame) is actually 5 and 1/8 inches in diameter. The claim in one of the pictures that describe these speakers says that theyhave 6.5” black fiberglass woofers. This is erroneous. They have 5 “ (at most) woofers instead. Update 10/01/2025: Nice big remote with lots of functions I loved, but it stopped working after a week or 2 of use. Fresh batteries, batteries that work fine in other remotes no longer work in this one. So despite the great sound, I’m lowereing my rating to 3 stars from five because I really need a remote.

This is a great set of bookshelf speakers that blends style and sound quality. They are a nice compact solution for record playback, TV audio enhancement, and wireless streaming. This set has a nice balance for those wanting improved listening experiences and an affordable option. I was pleased with sound, size and functionality in a fairly small package.

The sound quility is beautiful perfect size for a small office looks great easy to setup and well made.
