Did not realize there wasn't an arm to hold the hair in place, which makes it VERY difficult to wind the hair and then keep in place on the wand. It says to hold the hair in place with your fingers (not easy at all) with the tiny half glove they provide (does not fit or stay on my fingers) so this is a tedious task. The product itself works well IF you manage to get your hair wound around the wand and keep it there. Good luck.

I bought this around two years ago. I loved it! Easy to use & perfect curls! Also curled all of my medium length hair pretty quickly! The numbers indicating the heat setting rubbed off fairly quickly. I used this curler a few times a month, so it wasn’t a huge deal! A little annoying but for the price, ease of use, etc. not a problem! However, two weeks ago I used the same setting as always (medium high) for the same amount of time as always, literally nothing changed about how I used the curler. After wrapping my hair around the rod, I smelled burnt hair instantly and watched a small clump of hair fall out. I want to reiterate, nothing was different. My hair is fragile due to chemo therapy a year ago, but I always use carefully. Thankfully my hair lady said the damage was less than I imagined. But still very bummed. The next time I plugged it in, to see if maybe it was my fault (wrong setting maybe even though I always check)? The light went on and the curling rod remained cold. I’m unsure what happened. I use surge protectors, etc. So before that, loved loved loved!! After that, not super happy about it.

It heats up quickly and gives a nice, loose curl, exactly what I was hoping for. No complaints at all, and for the price, it’s a fantastic option, especially if you’re just looking for something reliable to use while traveling. Definitely recommend!
