Smashing success!
This product is great if you have a smaller area or if you don't want to go to a driving range. The balls have the real feel and you can even tell if you pull or slice the ball. The strike pad is okay and leaves marks on your clubs, but good if you don't want to mess with a cleanup after you practice.

Great for the golfer who can't get to the range
If you're like me, and have young kids, and live in the middle of a metropolitan city where ranges our minimal, this is the next best thing. These little birdieballs are fantastic! They fly about 50yds, so you'll need at least that much space if you want to be able to hit full shots. They really are the closest thing to hitting a real ball.I don't even have quite 50 yards to work with, but have used them a lot on practicing what would normally be 100yds or less shots on a course. They have significantly improved my touch in that area. I've given these out to 2 of my best friends, and definitely recommend these!

Would not bother with this... Just spend the money on buckets of balls at the range
I did not like anything about it.... The strike pad has to be on perfectly level ground to give you a chance of a good hit... It makes you hold the club a good inch or two higer than normal off the ground which made me start topping balls for my first few swings when switching back and forth to golf balls.... The "balls" themselves are okay, I had fun hitting them with a driver or a 3 wood but hitting them with irons feels aqward. They ARE a good bit bigger than a golf ball and it just messes with your mind when you line a iron up to them. They will ONLY fly straight if you hit them perfectly.... So they are good for that. Overall I would not buy this product again and after seeing all the positive reviews I felt it was needed to let people know its not all 110% peachy perfect. Also should be noted that the strike pad leaves marks on your club head.... so if that bothers you at all be aware.

Fun practice item
Lots of fun without loosing golf balls. I recommend it. Not like some items you feel you've thrown the money away on.

Great Training Tool
Birdie balls really do give you the feel of hitting a real golf ball. The one improvement or option I would suggest is a smaller version.Birdie balls are slightly taller and wider than a regular golf ball which makes for a slightly larger target.I would really like a slightly smaller target so that when striking a standard ball it appeared larger than my practice ball.Playing billiards with a smaller ball and pockets makes playing pool seem easier.Same theory here with a smaller Birdie Ball. All in all a great product, durable and saves money from going to the driving range.I highly suggest also purchasing the Hank Haney Dual Turf Practice Mat to use with Birdie Balls. It allows you much more realistic surfaces is very well made and allows you to use your driver.

Great for practice!
The best way to get good at anything is to practice and the birdie balls do exactly that! They might not hit exactly like a golf ball but the feel is awesome and the feedback of the slice/hook is even better! I didn't like the tray that much since it sits a couple inches off the ground which can make it feel too high but once you find your groove and get used to everything these birdie balls are irreplaceable!

Single best investment for swing training
I am a very new and inconsistent golfer. I will have a spurt and go to the range 1-2 a week and play a few times a month, but overall I just do not devote the time to really improving my game. This fun little tool has changed all that!I had practiced before with the little foam balls, and the wiffle balls - I didn't like the representation of the trajectory... it over-exaggerated slices/hooks, and I never really got the feedback to let me know when a shot was good. The birdie balls fix all these issues.Pros:- audible feedback on good shots (fun humming noise)- sufficient slice/hook feedback without being overkill- great consistency with distance travelledCons:- the mat is so/so. I feel that it props the ball up too high and can artificially increase your chance to hit the top of the ball when you play the real game after practicing. After a couple of sessions with it, I have returned to hitting birdieballs directly from the lawn.My dad and I stand on opposite ends of the yard and will pass the birdieballs back and forth - excellent driving range practice without having to drive anywhere. Will be buying again when I lose them :)

Fun gift for a golfer!
Purchased this for my husband who doesn't always have the time to go to the driving range. He really liked that the "balls" felt and traveled like the manufacture's description. As a beginner golfer, I also tried it out and liked that I didn't break tees or ruin the grass from my attempts. Also, the strike pad has a swing path to assist the novice player. The only complaint I have (and this is already mentioned in the description) is that it needs more space than an average backyard in the suburbs. So, we took a short walk to a nearby open field to use the birdie ball set.
