Tested with UV torch, these are UV blocking
There's a method of testing sunglasses etc with a 'pencil' uv torch + a bank note.. google it. I've found this works well - ie my sunglasses are all UV blocking, with the exception of one which has a scratch on its lens & the light gets thru. Ditto my motorbike goggles. My reading glasses are not UV blocking, neither was a pair of work goggles which were supposed to be but turned out not to be, so were returned. The same test showed that these eye protectors block UV rays. If you really want to double check then high street opticians will often check sunglasses etc for you for free.

The item does not look like the photo
The item does not look like the photo, it was not as comfortable as I would have thought. Only kept as needed in a rush.

Great value
I thought for the money the goggles wouldn't be very good, surprisingly they worked well & I am happy to continue using them while going on the sun bed.The strap is adjustable, very handy as even the tightest straps work their way loose on my head. The goggles fit very closely around the eye & did not let in any light (my main concern). As I was worried about UV rays getting through, I pushed the goggles into my skin firmer than perhaps was needed & yes they did leave goggle marks. However they did fade after a short time & by the time I got home (10mins in the car). Not enough to put me off. They're not the smallest cup size over the eye, but certainly not the largest either. Didn't really fancy white marks over my eye sockets & by the end of the sun bed sessions I still never saw the white rings.

** BEWARE - DO NOT ACCORD TO EN170" - Cheap, Tacky and made of Placcy.
Grey - not really a 'colour' at all. Cheap and tacky made of placcy. Bet they don't fully protect against UVA and UVB either.Save your money.*** DO NOT PROTECT AGAINST UVA nor UVB ***Despite the claims that these are certified to EN170-200 they do not carry the required markings:"Unlike the frame, lenses can meet various safety standards including EN166, 169,170 & 172. For obvious reasons the manufacturers are not required to print everystandard on the lens but simply the degree to which they meet the standard. Usingthe guide below you can determine which standards they meet. Once again themanufacturers seal and the CE mark are mandatory. In addition will be a degree ofsolar or UV radiation protection, the opticalquality and then the mechanical strength.• 2 - UV Protection (EN170). The number 2 indicates the filter may effect colourrecognition• 2C or 3 - UV Protection (EN170). The number 2C (previously 3) indicates the filterallows good colour recognition"None of these markings, nor the CE markings are present.

goggles - wrong colour!
I have tried these 'goggles' and they seem to be effective. The trouble was.... I was expecting a jazzy purple pair, as illustrated,as there was nowhere to put 'colour preference', but received a dull black pair. It was too much hassle to get them changed, that is, if they had purple ones anyway.

Best sunbed goggles I've ever worn worth the money
These goggles are well worth the money I paid, they are comfortable to wear and don't let in any light at all. Great product.
