I bought this for one specific purpose and that was to lubricate the sliding legs on a Bosch portable workbench. The aluminium legs kept binding but after a couple of sprays with the graphite they slide like new again. The only minor drawback is that it does leave a black mark on the aluminium but what can you expect from a black lubricant. Just be aware if appearance matters. To me the benefits far outweigh the minor cosmetic effects. P.S. I did try other lubricants but none of them had a lasting effect. It's not cheap but I think you get what you pay for.
