Love my Shakti mat. Have had it a while now and now hubby is starting to get into it I may have to upgrade to the next level. Brilliant company. Don't buy the lesser ones buy Shakti !!Would recommend for sure. So relaxed and sleep great.

I bought this mat and it’s matching pillow over a month ago.Since, it has been patiently waiting for me to have the time and valor to try it (can’t blame me with all the reviews and YouTube videos speaking about how painful it is at first).Last night I dimmed my lights to a soft warm light, burned some sage, played some crystal bowls chakra chants, and laid on my mat for a 50 minute meditation.Hence, I believe that if you create the correct environment and embrace the mat and its contact on your skin without directly thinking about any sensations felt (initial feelings, tingling, or heat) you get to enjoy the mat without feeling any pain at all!I personally did not reach the point where one feels as if they’re melting on the mat (I was looking forward to this feeling).However, this may be because although I’m petite my arms did not fully “fit” on the mat, and my legs where completely outside. I remember laying there thinking… I wish I had another pillow under my legs and a wider and longer mat to rest my whole body on.Therefore, I highly recommend this mat and pillow, however would like it and rate it much higher if it was a full-body experience!For now, due to the cost of buying two more mats and one more pillow (to place a mat beside mine for width and another and the pillow for under my legs) I will continue my Shakti meditation daily whilst thinking…Is there another good-quality company that offers a mat big enough for the whole body?Or, is there any chance of making these longer and wider Shakti? 🙏🏼

My wife and I are obsessed with our Shakti mat and now use daily. Provides relief from back and neck tension and after consistent use can feel like it is having a more lasting effect. First couple of uses are painful but once you power through, the warm release is totally worth it and has almost a meditative effect.

My partner bought this Matt and I was sceptical first but the minute I stepped onto it I was amazed by the sensation you got it’s like so relaxing and confusing at The same time I’m not in pain thankfully, but I can imagine if someone’s in pain It would be very helpful.

This is a great mat even for a novice like me. Takes a bit of time but soon gets easier.

Amazing, relaxing sensation lying on this mat, but whatever the foam inside is made from - it smells horrible. Hard to relax when you're lying in an aroma cloud of cheesy vomit and farts. So bad is the stink it lingers on bedding and clothing after the mat has been removed. Ended up ignoring the instructions and washing the foam insert with fragrant laundry detergent - but the smell persists. May have to replace with an alternative cushioning.

I use this mat daily just before bed time. - this is a late review, I have had it over 6 months now. It really does help you unwind and release any tension in your back.I won’t lie, the first time I used it I struggled to stay on for the 20 minutes but I did the time and felt the benefits! Now, I don’t bat an eyelid to it. Have fallen asleep for an hour on it before! I will save up and get the pillow to match !
