I was genuinely surprised by how bright these lights are! From the product photos, I didn’t expect them to be this powerful, but they easily illuminate our entire backyard when we let the dogs out at night. The brightness is impressive and makes a real difference in visibility and safety. Setup was straightforward, and the build quality feels premium—solid and weather-resistant. The upgraded IP66 rating gives me confidence they'll hold up through all seasons. The RGBIC feature adds a fun touch for outdoor decorations, and the 50 scene modes offer plenty of customization. Integration with Alexa works flawlessly, and the app control is intuitive and responsive. Whether you're using them for practical lighting or festive ambiance, these lights deliver on all fronts. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable, smart outdoor lighting with a splash of color!

Setup with Govee is always super easy, it literally takes about a minute. I had the first generation of these flood lights for about three years and loved them, but the Flood Lights 2 are a big step up. The build feels more durable, the lights are brighter, and the colors are vibrant and really stand out. The controls and all the capabilities in the Govee app are next level. They do cost more than some other brands, but the app features and overall quality make it worth it. If you’re planning to use Govee lights for any kind of holiday lighting, these are the ones to get. Govee crushed it with this second gen and definitely earned five stars.

Own a TON of Govee products. Have had the prior version for few years now and when one of the sets had an issue with the end light purchased 2 of these to replace on the front of our house. I repositioned with the others for trees and other spots along the front of our house to give that wonderful appearance. Perfect for holidays create colorful effects. The opportunity to sync with other devices and have a perfect outdoor display. I have these positioned on the ground using stakes.

I love Govee lights. The functionality and is amazing with the ability to customize in so many ways. These lights are very bright and capable of just about any color imaginable. I’m using them for Halloween decorations. The only downside is that I wish they had a bit more cable length on each individual light. You are very much tied to a fixed distance between the lights. I bought the 6 light set and it is not quite long enough to span between my two flowerbeds. So, I wound up with a random light stuck out in between.

They weren’t my favorite option in terms of cable length and brightness, but I’m already in on the Govee family for other regular use/holiday lighting. Be patient with setting these up. You may need a few nights to adjust angles and placement before you secure everything. They’re panel lights, so it’s all about placement. I usually run my other Govee lights very dim: 1-10% for the eaves of my house, while these need more of a 50-100% dimming range to reflect that. But here’s why: Lights like spot lights are going to be more direct. These will either wash a wall or a path or a plant from a single point each. The cable lengths could be a little longer. They worked okay for me. Had they been longer, I’m sure I could’ve done more with them, but the setup I’m settling on is fine. With that said, take your ultimate goal into consideration before you get these to ensure you have a solid design foundation. The scenes do control each light independently, for a moving array of color, but I don’t think you can control each light to a fixed, independent color. Their white range for regular, off season use is aesthetically pleasing. All in all, I consider these to be a high quality, fun but also serious when you want it, product. I’ll start it out with 5 stars.

Love these lights. Made decorating for Halloween easy with webbing. We now just use them as house lights until the next holiday comes around.

You can adjust colors, create scenes, set schedules, and even sync the lights with music. Everything responds quickly with no glitches. The materials also feel durable and weather-resistant. They’ve been through rain and heat with no issues, and they don’t overheat even after hours of use. Overall, if you want modern, powerful, and customizable outdoor lighting, these are absolutely worth it. They completely transformed the vibe of my space. Highly recommended!

Edit December 6, 2025: 1 week after the original review it has gone from 1 light out to 3 lights out. 3 out of 6. 50% of this has failed in 2 months. Absolute garbage that should get zero stars. I have multiple other Govee outdoor lighting products so I am quite familiar with them. I bought this to light up a new large Halloween display piece and like all the other products setting it up was pretty straight forward (adding it to each and every automation was a bit of a pain, but that is beside the point). Lighting was nice and bright if a little more "spread" than I expected. The reason for 2 stars though is that the lights ran nightly from October 7th until the day after Thanksgiving (the 28th) when one of them failed. Seriously, not even 2 full months and one of the lights dies. Unplugging and replugging did not reset it neither did "rebooting" the head unit. The light looks sealed with no moisture inside so this is not a water issue.
