A great adapter for your favourite current-gen controller.
I don't often write product reviews ('cause I'm an unappreciative jerk, obviously) but I am so satisfied with this adapter so far that I just had to give it some love. I've only used it with the Switch and a DS4 so far, so this review may be subject to change, but it works so well! The manual that comes with the adapter is more detailed of course, but if you're like me and your favourite current-gen controller is the DS4 (DualShock 4), then the pairing process with the adapter is as follows:1. Plug the adapter into an available USB-A port while theconsole (or PC) is on.2. Use the switch on the side of the adapter to set it up foryour system of choice (the three options being the NintendoSwitch, PS3, and PC).3. For the DS4; hold the SHARE button and the PS/Homebutton simultaneously for a few seconds until the light barbegins rhythmically pulsing with a white light.4. Hold the main button on the adapter for a few secondsuntil its blue light begins blinking rapidly.5. When the adapter's light becomes solid, your controller ispaired.A few things to note specifically:1. The adapter can only be paired with a single controller at atime. While both a wireless bluetooth and wired controller canbe connected simultaneously, they will act functionally thesame. Speaking of which...2. One cool feature is that the adapter has afemale USB-A port on the side opposite of the male USB-Aplug, which means you can use a micro-USB to USB-A cable(for DS4 or X-Box One controllers, anyway) for a wiredconnection through the adapter if you so choose. This featurealso allows you to connect a controller to the Switch while inhandheld mode by using a USB-C to USB-A cable.3. Related to the above point; X-Box 360 and normal X-BoxOne controllers are (allegedly, I've yet to test this) only usablevia a wired connection. However, X-Box One S controllersapparently _can_ be connected wirelessly.4. When connecting to the Switch, make sure you go into theSwitch's system settings, go to 'Controllers and Sensors', andturn on the 'Pro Controller Wired Communication' setting.5. While using the DS4 with the Switch, keep in mind that thetouchpad is mapped as the Switch's capture/share button(instead of, y'know, the SHARE button on the DS4).*Whew*I'm sorry that this review got so long; I just wanted to highlight the features of the adapter that I felt were the most important for someone to know before purchasing. Although I haven't experimented with it too much yet, I love it so far. I very much recommend it if you already have a favourite current-gen controller on hand and want to use it easily on the Switch or PC (especially as a cheap alternative to the Switch's 1st party pro controller). In summary:'S good.

Unreal....
I was super skeptical about this product. Seeing as Sony sells their official USB adapter for 80 bucks I figured this thing was going to be a ripoff. For some history, originally I was using a bluetooth adapter and a third party software solution to use my Dualshock 5 controller on PC. But as of late I started noticing inputs being missed. Especially when doubletapping a button. The 2nd press was not registering everytime in Rocket League and was severely impacting my gameplay. This thing took all of 10 seconds to set up. Held the button down on the adapter, held the PS button and share button at the same time and it instantly synced up. Input lag is nonexistent and doublepressing works flawlessly every time now.The only real complaint I have is that there doesn't seem to be a way to shut the controller off without pressing the button on the adapter. Not a huge deal as putting my PC to sleep, or letting the controller sit for a bit it will automatically turn off.Overall great and affordable product. At least for a PS4 controller I am beyond happy with my purchase

Disappointment is an understatement!
Man, I had such high hopes for this adapter. But I was sadly disappointed. I was able to get the receiver to connect to my PC and I was able to play games on it. That is until it was time to reboot or quit a game and return later to play. Games would no longer respond to the controller. The receiver is recognized in my Bluetooth list but it won't work. The only solution was to reset the controller and uninstall and reinstall the receiver. Then it would work again. Then I'm back to the same problem again when I want to play a game. So Imagine doing that every time you want to play a game. Besides, do a quick Google search and you will find you don't need this to get your PS4 controller to work with your PC. I returned this trash so fast.......

Button mismatch, otherwise great!
It definitely does what it says: I had no problem getting it setup to use a DUALSHOCK4 (PS4) Controller with a Windows 10 PC:1. Plug DS4 into PC using USB cable, hold PS button to turn on controller, let windows finish installing drivers automatically2. Disconnect DS4 (usb) from the PC3. Set switch in this adapter to: PC4. Plug this adapter into USB port on PC, let Windows finish automatically installing drivers5. Hold down button on this adapter until the light blinks rapidly6. On the DS4, hold down simultaneously: SHARE and PS buttons7. Watch DS4 light bar in back, for light to stop blinkingWorks great for me, the only thing that I don’t like is that games show XBOX buttons in prompts (game says to press X, you press SQAURE on the DS4). There are ways to correct that for some games I think, like installing DS4Windows or changing settings in Steam, etc. I didn’t do either and have been playing games fine, just sometimes fumble to find the right button, if it’s the first time I am doing that action, in that game.Given that it’s a $20 version of the $100+ version that Sony sells, I can deal with the mismatched button names. If you can too, grab it. Glad I did.

It works every time... PS4 Dual Shock on Switch
I followed the directions it came with. It works every time. It syncs every time and no disconnects yet after 2 months.I use my DS4 to play Sniper Elite 4.The only feature that doesnt work is the remapping. But remapping only seems to work on the NS pro controller and not anything else. I can get into the screen and remap the buttons to match a ps4 , but it fails when I try to apply it.Other than that. It works flawlessly so far.I have only used it on the switch so far. What you get will look different, but it does whats advertised.
