Alizé Liqueur Gold Passion with Passionfruit, French Vodka and Cognac - 70 cl

This was one of the minor presents I bought for my wife on our Golden Wedding anniversary. It was a huge hit - very tasty and a real feeling of luxury.

I've reviewed a Coconut liqueur elsewhere on here, as part of an attempt to recreate a Spanish holiday memory and alleviate C-19 lockdown boredom (drinking in moderation of course), that make up a drink I believe I invented on holiday by myself and mixed by a gorgeous Spanish barmaid. This is one of the base ingredients and surpasses the Spanish, 'bottom shelf' one, mixed and enjoyed in Spain (Blue Bols, Vodka and lemonade with ice are in there, but you need to experiment on measures - hint hint! and it's called a 'Robin's Razor' because it shaves hours off the day!). This is a superb, quality ingredient that tastes even better than I remember and at a price that makes cocktail hour be a regular thing. If you fancy a change from just a cold beer or a single spirit with 'cubes', this is a different and versatile addition to any Summer, grown up drink, that I thoroughly recommend.

When I partook of this one Saturday, in my friends kitchen, I thought it was quite delicious. I was surprised it wasnt a higher percentage of alcohol as it had quite a kick. Long story short I went out with my dress inside out for two hours without noticing. Nice drink.

I may be slightly biased having worked in a bar, but I just feel that this drink tastes like nothing more than an expensive alcopop. Not bad at all but doesn’t taste like £10 to me. Very ornate bottle though is definitely partly what you’re paying for. 3 stars all in all. Update Just tried it with Prosecco and tastes lovely - deserves an extra star.

Never tried this before and it was a pleasant surprise. Smooth to the palate. Good mixer for cocktails should you wish to.

I purchased this Alize whilst it was on sale, so bought a few bottles for family members as I don't actually drink alcohol. They were very pleased and said that it brought back memories as this drink was very popular back in the day! I was told that it is very strong so needs to be consumed in moderation. I would definitely buy it again as it was greatly received by those it was gifted to. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos to upload as all of the bottles are long gone!
