A properly medium-heat hot sauce with well-balanced flavour and just the right amount of sweetness and acidity to stand up to--without overwhelming--other strong flavours, like carne asada and pulled pork. The quality of the sauce is phenomenal, but as many reviewers have already pointed out, the packaging and giftability of this product are what makes it unique. Please understand you are paying for a very good hot sauce dressed up in haute couture, not a bottle you usually associate with pizza joints and breakfast scrambles. There are many good hot sauces out there (and this is one, especially if you enjoy medium heat with a lot of flavour), but its presentation is unique to it and that is worth sharing. I have purchased this for myself, as well as another person, as a gift. I was quite happy with my own bottle, and my Secret Santa recipient was over the moon, both for the taste and the fact he could set the bottle out for display in his apartment when guests came over for dinner. I would absolutely splurge on this item again for another hot sauce aficionado.

The sauce is absolutely delicious I don’t know if I can say you get your bang for your buck simply because it is a small bottle but this sauce is perfect for anything you want whether it’s pork chicken turkey steak chips eggs, whatever you want. It has quite a kick though so if your not good with spice, I’d recommend either avoiding it entirely or only using a little bit.

This is not worth $40. It isn’t worth $20. This was one of the biggest wastes of my money this Christmas season. The sauce tastes good but not $40 good. Please rethink buying this. Had the seller spent more time in just normal packaging it might have more value. The fact it is in a pretty box and a wood top is basically a slap in the face for our intelligence. I bought it just to see how bad the value to investment was and in my view it is obnoxiously out balanced by investment cost. Stay clear of this. There are tons of hot sauces your palate will enjoy as well as your wallet will enjoy
