I've used this to do preventive maintenance on my on-demand gas tankless water heater by rinnai. Works good.

I really have nothing to say negative about this kit. I have already used it four times to completely flush not only my demand water heater but for 3 others. Depending on your heater type; that’s all you may need to buy separately is 1.5 gallons of food grade white vinegar and likely a new water inlet filter.Important: Be sure to flush clean water through the pump for 2-3 minutes after the vinegar flushing followed by;The necessity to remove the pumps button plastic cover(4 screws) to fully dry out any remaining water or vinegar residue. I wipe and spray lubricant on the motor shaft and metal cover as they tend to rust a bit.

The media could not be loaded. Perhaps I received a faulty pump that had been returned. The packaging was wet, and the instruction booklet was black with mold. I have flushed tankless heaters successfully with other kits and am familiar with the process. Unless you have previous experience, you will NEVER understand the process by reading the provided instructions. They are no real instructions, just some pictures. No actual process is described including which type of solution of volume of solution or time required. YouTube has helpful videos, so lack of instruction isn’t a cause for 1 star. What IS a cause for bad feedback is the lack of power. The pump was not strong enough to circulate through the system. Without flow, there’s no flushing action. Again, perhaps my pump was faulty and sent out after being returned, but I lost money. By the time I was able to travel to our mountain cabin to use the kit, the return window had expired.

The pump is ok. Mostly plastic, but what isn't unless you spend a lot. The bucket is on the small side. I used a true 5-gallon bucket instead of the 3.5 gallon one. The S.S. hoses are good quality. The pump ran well. I had it flushing my tankless water heater for 2 hours without problems. Overall, not bad for the cost. I would recommend this flushing kit.

I flushed my tankless water heater and it worked well. The pump is more than powerful enough to do the job. Will it work in the future? Time will tell.
