We bought a new build 4 years ago, the window handles all broke off. These are a great replacement. A nice satin black finish and very solid.

When we moved into our house a couple of years ago, we lived with a dodgy bathroom window handle up until recently, when it was such a simple fix! We purchased a universal window handle and had it installed and working in minutes, so I thought it would be a good plan to get another to keep as a spare in our DIY box. You don't get any instructions with this handle but if you can't work out how to do the replacement job, there is always some YouTube video that will give you some handy tips. This is a left hand window handle and it comes with multiple spindles and screw lengths. There is only one key, which is a little inconvenient but this doesn't detract from the overall functionality of the product. This style of locking window handle can suddenly fail/break with no prior warning, as happened to our kitchen window recently, so it's sensible to have a spare one just in case, for a quick fix.

A replacement inline locking handle for windows, it comes complete with multiple length spindles to ensure compatibility with all espagnolette bars found in casement windows, replacement screws that you can cut to size, personally I would reuse the old screws unless the head is damaged, and screw and keyhole covers. Unfortunately, though, you only get one key, all other handles I’ve bought supply 2 keys, so that you have a spare key. Also, there were no instructions, so if you haven’t fitted one before, you will have to look up online on how to do it, although I will give a brief description here.I have replaced several of these window handles, so for me it was pretty straightforward, but a simple instruction sheet would help first time DIY people.Firstly, ensure the handle is unlocked, and turn it 45degs, left or right for windows and doors (this is a left handle), and straight up for the smaller type of window, as shown in my photos, this was the window handle I was changing.Turning the handle, exposes the screws that secure the handle to the frame, you may have to remove a thin metal shim covering one of the screws, it depends on the design of your old handle. Make sure on removal that you take note of the spindle size, so that you can refit the new handle with the correct replacement spindle.Position the new handle at 45degs, and with the new spindle, screw it back onto the frame, I reused the old screws. Then position the screw cover to give it that professional look, I didn’t bother with the lock cover, as honestly it was a pain to remove again, especially if you don’t have any fingernails, I’ve never seen them fitted before. Make sure the handle works and locks and unlocks, and in my case, everything worked perfectly, a very easy job that saved me a lot of money.A small tip, if while unscrewing and screwing the handles in, you find the windows keep pushing away from you and opening, making it difficult to use the screwdriver, just move the handle a few degrees into the locked position, it doesn’t have to be far, just so the window is held in place and you still have access to the screws, make the job a lot easier.I just have to visit the local locksmith now and see if they can supply a spare key.I’m happy to recommend.

I was in need of a replacement uPVC window handle for my bathroom as the old one was starting to deteriorate due to paint. While I didn't double-check the measurements, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this handle was a perfect fit.Installation was a breeze. Simply remove the two screws from the old handle, choose the appropriate spindle, and secure the new handle with the provided screws and install the plastic screw cover. The screws can even be trimmed to size if needed.The new handle looks much better than the old one and feels sturdy and secure. Considering the price of just under £11, it's a fantastic value.While I was lucky with the measurements, I recommend carefully checking the dimensions before ordering. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a replacement uPVC window handle.
